Oh my goodness!!!!! I just got a email from the Lagos Consulate. My fiance's interview date is September 9! Thank you Lord God Almighty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations! I took your advice and sent them a couple of emails today. I really hope I get a response (apart from the generic ####### I got today). I wish you guys the best with the interview and my prayers are with you. I hope our interview date will be soon too :)

Ameriafrican, make sure you send an email as well requesting your interview date, ours should be scheduled as well since the DOS said our packets have been sent out. I emailed them again today. So I will be watching my email very closely....lol

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Ok, this is getting ridicolous! I haven't receievd anything yet and they claim my packet was sent out 7/21. First of all the embassy is telling lies to the DOS and it's a shame. No one in this world could tell me that it would take 3 weeks to receive a packet rather it is mailed or emailed....this is a shame and I am tired! :crying:

2009-12-17 - Waiting for an appointment assignment...

2009-12-29 - Interview assigned: February 11, 2010!

2010-01-06 - Case forwarded to consulate.

Consulate:

2010-01-12 - Medical exam part 1 of 2 complete.

2010-01-26 - Medical exam part 2 of 2 complete. Ouchie!

2010-02-11 - Interview results: Administrative Processing 221(g) :-(

2010-04-27 - 2nd interview results: Approved :-)

2010-05-04 - Visa in hand!
