CFO BEFORE VISA???

My fiancee recently talked with an acquaintance who is a K3 filer and who told her that she took the CFO seminar BEFORE the interview. I thought the CFO had to be taken AFTER the interview.

Can someone let me know when the CFO can be done, because if my fiancee can take it before the interview, that would help speed things up.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

i had my seminar too before my interview... though, CFO wont stamp your passport or put a sticker on it... after she gets her visa, she can then go back to CFO and just get a stamp before the flight... good luck :thumbs:

ps... let her keep the certificate from the seminar and the cfo receipt (if paid in advance) so there wont be any trouble when she gets back for the stamp

4/16/2010- signed and delivered

4/29/2010- check cleared

yes she can . and by the time she has the visa, all she needs to do is show her CFO receipt and visa so she can pick up the cfo sticker.

sept. 19, 2008--- approved

NVC:

sept. 26, 2008----got case # from a live operator

oct. 6, 2008 ------received AOS bill/paid online

oct. 7, 2008 ------shows PAID

oct. 14,2008 -----IV fee generated/ paid online

oct. 15,2008 -----shows PAID

oct. 16,2008 -----mailed DS230 overnight

oct. 23,2008 ---- RFE

nov. 3,2008 ----- case complete

nov. 26,2008 --- medical exam

aug. 14,2009 --- remedical finally, passed

aug. 24, 2009 -- interview , passed

aug. 29, 2009 -- visa in hand

sept. 24, 2009 -- POE LAX

once u get ur NOA2 then she can do the medical too . she can do medical without visa with no problem. trying to get all her documents in usa now so u can submit to nyc. good luck

Very normal for peeps to take the seminar before their interview. Hopefully it's not a waste of time and money doing so.

Does show confidence they will pass the interview. USEM doesn't really seem to care about CFO one way or the other.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

HAAAAAAAAAA! Just checked my email and the NOA2 just came!!!! Praise God!

We were early March filers so maybe the March filers are gonna get some action finally!!!

WOOOOHOOOOO!

Time for her to take the medical at SLEC. Best to do it ASAP in case she has to do a 8 week sputum test! LOTS of TB in PI and lots of people getting their visas delayed because of the sputum test.

My wife did her medical 1 1/2 months early.

She only needs the NOA2, MNL number. passport, 3 PP pictures, 2 ballpens, water and some snacks. Don't go when in her period.

Have her make copies of her passport as she won't get it back until after her interview. May need it for CFO. She will need the PP number to fill out DS forms naman.
