..................Interview went well, just waiting on Criminal History checks to post back with that envelopee and passport to get visa.

5-6-2006 Received Criminal History Check in the mail and posted off back to consulate with passport etc hoping for it's return with visa in two weeks.

14-6-2006 Passport and visa recieved in mail. Visa issued the 13th.

24-6-2006 USA here I come

26-7-2006 Received Social Security Card in less than 5 working days after applying.

You got an idea of the craziness that seem to slip into one's head waiting for this damned approval. Waiting for the FBI backdround check sucks because it is so opened ended. I not a quitter, but I worry they will just seat on the visa and not do anything on it. I heard Aussie say they can even though there is not anything written. They should a least tell us if we are approved or disapproved. Then at least you can file an appeal. I know I have some things in my closet I was not even aware of. Nothing I read says it is grounds for to deny. Well I guess I am going crazy and ranting. So forgive me. Thanks so much for the kind thoughts.

Is anyone else as crazy as I am??? I know I have at least 5 more weeks to go but I find myself checking the USCIS web site 3 or 4 times a day!!!! I don't know what I expect to see but I still do it! I work midnights so I sleep in the day time. I find myself waking up at least twice a day to just go and check!!! Help me I am obsessed!!!

I will be glad when I get NOA2 so I can stop this obssessive stuff. No wait, I will probably set a timer and count down the days until the interview then....... OMG I NEED HELP!!!!!!! :P

You're nto a lone, I work days, yet here it is 2:23 am and I'm sittign here checking VJ. KNOWING USCIS hasn't updated anythign in the last...oh we'll say 5 hours, I still check it 2 or 3 times a night. Hang in there, we crazies will get through this process oen way or another

Is anyone else as crazy as I am??? I know I have at least 5 more weeks to go but I find myself checking the USCIS web site 3 or 4 times a day!!!! I don't know what I expect to see but I still do it! I work midnights so I sleep in the day time. I find myself waking up at least twice a day to just go and check!!! Help me I am obsessed!!!

I will be glad when I get NOA2 so I can stop this obssessive stuff. No wait, I will probably set a timer and count down the days until the interview then....... OMG I NEED HELP!!!!!!! :P

Oh Gary you are not alone! But the good news is that several approvals from early Feb. have just come through so they are moving along again. And I have to think that the fact that you have already had 2 touches is nothing but good (I haven't seen anything yet :( which is probably a good reason for me to stop checking!)
