The point I tried to make, Hal tried to make & Pike tried to make (sorry if I missed anyone) is that racism goes both ways... if you laugh at the idea that blacks are still victims of racism & yet you cry bloody murder about reverse racism you are every bit as hypocritical as individuals who don't take reverse discrimination seriously. If racism goes both ways then prejudice goes both ways... I'd rather see more balanced topics (both on VJ & in the media) than people on both sides pushing their own agenda & ignoring the other side of the story.

It isnt always people pushing a agenda, some people want to discuss this issue because its something there concerned and frustrated with

I would be very interested in addressing the things you mentioned but as far as pointing out the obvious like double standards with out going into a long disscusion about causative factors of racism seems reasonable to me, because regardless to the reasons its still unacceptable and I think that alot of these arguments go back and forth on the basis of does double standards exist.

They do exist... as much as the triple standards that are often used to justify the single standard of prejudicial treatment based on race. And its all really fvcking stupid.

Ok I agree to a degree. Maybe some have but I think 9 out of 10 times a person is only venting and pointing out the double standard that does exist. I dont ever recall anyone saying its ok for the white man to do it because the black man gets away with it all the time.

I think that particular comes about every time we see (here particularly) thread after thread like this one by a very concentrated number of people that have, time after time displayed very odd racial 'suggestive' that would lead any logical reader to conclude they were indeed prejudicial in persona.

Hal your "dripping" would have a little more interest if you would offer some quotes to help prove your point.

While I readily admit I am not as racially hyper as some, I have never "hinted" or "suggested" in any secret or coded way that I find acceptable, the treatment of others based on anything other than who they are as a person.
