If the application states to use all capital letters, we typed in all capital letters, if it says sign your full name, had my wife sign her full name, she objected to that, likes her artistic signature. Could only reply, do you want your USC or not. Why not just follow the instructions verbatim? I have no idea what your IO will say, but can retype your N-400 the way they tell you to and bring that into your interview with you. It may save a delay.

Our last name is one of those de Names, looks dumb to me when we typed in DE NAMES, but if that is what they ask for, that is what they get.
