i-751 returned to local office

Yesterday was the Interview date for i-751.

we walked in 45 minutes early. Had to sit down for 30 mnts. Got the ticket and placed in the waiting room with another 6-7 couples. we have seen only one couple interviewed separetly.

Anyways. Our ticket number apperad at the screen, got in and had a seat in a little office with one officer.

I have all the paperwork we have submitted top 2 holes punched on the desk.

Before anything, the officer said he has no idea why we were picked for an interview. He said our paperwork was perfectly fine. asked if we would like to submit additional paperwork.

Gave him 3-4 most recent util. bills.

He has mentioned that our case was picked by the system, and it was very small percentage.

He stamped the folder Approved!! and said conrats.

Asked if they can stamp my passport just in case of emergency travel, he stamp the passport for a year.

We were out of there in 15-20 minutes.

(A bit on the ridiculous side though - waiting a year, all that work, just to be interviewed for 15 minutes - and hardly even that.)

Thank you Kathryn41. It was worth every minute of waiting. We could not believe that we've waited that long and hear that a system pick. It was kind of funny though.
