Rec'd NOA's today...something weird?

Got all of our NOA's.... I filed for myself, my son (K2) and a change of address for both myself and my husband....

One weird thing though....

I personally got NOA's for 765/131/485

my son (K2) got his own for 765/131/485

we also filed change of address of 865... in which we got 4 NOA's???? Two with an 'EAC' file number and two with a 'MSC' file number.... I assume they are duplicates? But it makes me wonder, I sent in an AR-11, and got nothing....maybe they confused the AR-11?

Either way, because my 485 has new address, I should be fine no?

One other question...what is the next step after biometrics? do we get an interview letter? I heard if you get trans to CA, you get no interview....how do you know if your file is transferred there? All of our file numbers are 'MSC' what is that? does the service centre process the entire GC process?

Just curious...

thanks

You'll likely get your EAD's and AP's - then later on, either an interview notice for the PR/Green Card or (if transferred to CSC) simply your PR/Green Card.

If your case gets transferred, you'll get a NOA. Most folks that get transferred end up getting approved without an interview.

Did you file an AR-11 at the same time as AOS?

Why didn't you just file the AOS in your new address and save the confusion?

Unless you have open cases, I don't think you didn't need to file an AR-11 yet. After you become a permanent resident, you need to report address changes.

Btw, the USC doesn't need to report address changes.

the USC does need to file an address change (865) with USCIS for sponsorship.

Yes, I did file AR-11 as per my signature below...I realize it was over kill, as I could have easily just filed 485 with new address which is what I also did....

I have another question about address change. We will only be at this new address for another month or so and then moving into our house, which we have been renovating. We will have access to mail at both locations. Should I change my address again in 2 months with them? Or just wait until after AOS is completed? I worry that if we get called to an interview, all if our proof (utilities etc..) will be on a different address than what they will have on file?

Will they disapprove of this? I just dint want to keep changing address' during AOS, but realize that we will have to at some point. The address' are also un two different States as we live on the boarder of PA & DE

thanks

You are correct, it was overkill. With that said, I would not change the address again until you have the greencard approved. AS long as you have access to the old mailbox and it has your name on it, I wouldn't touch it till after. Even though it's not the case, some IO may think you moved out or you don't live together, who knows what they can come up with, etc.
