my foreign passport question

Filling out form I-485 I need to submit a copy of my foreign passport. Here is my dilemma.

When I came to the USA, I had a valid Russian passport with US visa in it. Russian passport is only valid for 5 years, then it expires. I got a new passport in Russian embassy and did not leave the US and I still keep my expired passport with a note "expired" across the front page. My problem is that my first name is spelled differently in my current and in my expired passport. There is one extra letter in my first name in my current passport. Well, I sent my current passport to the Russian embassy and for small fee they wrote a note there stating "the person is also known as" and my name how it was in my expired passport.

Then, I got married and changed my last name. I sent my passport to the Russian embassy again and they wrote a note there "matrimonial name of this person is such and such"

Thus, I have a current passport with 3 notes in it about my name, one is a different spelling of my maiden name, one is my married name. Plus, I have an expired passport with a US visa.

Here is my question: when I am required to submit a copy of my foreign passport and a copy of my visa what do I need to submit?

Submit a copy of your passport that was used for entry that includes the visa....

YMMV
