Hi all , i would like to ask if anyone who call overseas a lot to talk to fiance/financee if there is some website or calling feature that cost less or cheap to use ..i for once pay around 500 a month on tele bills alone , thanks in advance for you input ..

For anyone calling from the UK I would strongly recommend Alpha Telecom (http://www.alphatelecom.com).

The great thing is, that I can call my fiancee on her cell phone in the USA for 3 pence (~ 5 cents) per minute. The system takes £30 from my bank account as and when it needs it. I confidently speak with her for at least an hour or so a day (thats a whopping £1.80 a day!) and it costs me about £60 a month tops.

I have never had any problems with their service.

You can configure you phone to dial up their access numbers automatically. They also have access numbers for mobile phones. From a BT line you just dial 1833, then there is a pause then you dial you account number, password and then the phone number immediately afterwards.

Cheers

Never use your home phone to make long distant phone calls.

We made misstakes and surfed for 2000 dollar phone bill at the beginning.

Just do a search for calling cards and you will easlier find some deal around 2-3 cents per minute depend on where you are calling.

As I look over other countries rates I really feel bad that mine is so cheap and quite a distance.. best of luck though even though my phone card is cheap we talk online more because we can see each other.. I think its the best way.

Vartan,

Have you had any issues with the card? e.g. disconnects, poor reception, missing minutes and so forth?

By the way, I just ordered one. For Indonesia, it offers 4.7 cents a minute to a cellular. My current card is 13 cents, but the connection quality is the best I have seen.

Hopefully the Alosmart.com card will be better....More time to talk!!

I can vouch for "Quality Card" on there.. I get the best connection sounds like she is right next to me. I just bought Alos Express to try and save a penny.. and it was a mistake.. so its really touch and go.. I started off buying $5 ones till I found a good connection.

Fiancee in Brazil. I use ATT's International Calling plan. We talk almost every day and I pay about $200 each month. I have tried some of the other plans, but the call quality is often not very good. AT&T works great for us and $200 is not too much.
