I know I read this a while ago but can't find it now.........

I am going through an IR-1 through manila.

On the AOS for NVC, part 5 number 21 asks for your household size.

It says:

persons you are sponsoring in this affidavit:

a) enter number in line 10

b.) yourself

c) if you are currently married, enter "1" for your wife

d)......

e)......

f).......

g)......

It says not to use anyone twice, but my wife is included in both "A" and "C"

How do you fill this section out?

Thanks in advance

Yes, your wife is the person you are sponsoring in "a"

you are the person in "b". If you were sponsoring someone else then your wife would be counted in "c". i read it in one of the guides before i did m papers.

So I would do it this way?

a) 01

B.) 01

c) 01

then at the bottom where it says to add them up, just put 02?

thank you

This was also one of the queerest question in the AOS form.

As it doesn't make sense for me and husband at first when we were filling out the forms.

This is how we did it .

A. 1

B. 1

C.0

Why O on the letter C. ? because it's clearly stated there that "NOT" sponsored in this affidavit. since you are sponsoring your wife, don't put 1. That only counts you and her when you total the household size at the end.

And if you have co-sponsor, which will be combining his/her income with you and shares the same residence and will use I864A, put the number of co-sponsor in letter G.

goodluck!

Petitioner (My Mom)

Beneficiary (My Sister 18 y.o)

Thank you for the reply.

I don't think I will need a co-sponsor though.

I am self employed and did have one year below poverty level, but I am showing well over the 3X limit in assets.
