I never saw my files transferred anywhere else, so I've no idea. And my RFE was to be sent to the NBC as well.

If you don't get transferred to CSC, your EAD and AP are processed and approved at the National Benefits Center. When they send you your EAD/AP they come in envelopes from Lee's Summit, MO.

(not really sure why I remember that...)

Interview done with, no idea whether I'm approved or not. He verified the information listed in my petitions (K1 and AOS), asked a couple of questions, laughed at us when we said we met via World of Warcraft (which was kind of silly, if you ask me) and then said that he still had to do background checks on us before we received his decision in about two weeks.

He was a little too curious about our banking history, too, which I found odd. I had included the statement that showed the wire transfer from my bank account in Canada to his in the US, and I highlighted it and everything. Well he wanted to know about all of the other activity on the statement, where money went, etc etc. I found that rather odd.

But regardless, a little disappointing as I was really hoping for an answer. He was surprised I wasn't working yet, until I told him that my EAD was only approved on Friday and I still hadn't received it yet.

The office was efficient enough... we were in and out long before our appointment time (went a half hour early).

I never got a diploma from the government!

I'm not really sure about the marriage license thing. Here in CO they just return the original to you, which is kinda neat. They take it, copy it into their system, put a sticker on it saying "recorded on xxxx by xxxx" and then just send it back to you. I never thought about framing it, but that's actually a really cool idea! It has the original signatures on it, and some water marks from isolated rain before and after the wedding... So very authentic! I don't know if all or most states do this, or this is Colorado's way of being lazy.

Sam- Sounds like a pretty annoying interview experience. Sometimes I think they just want to intimidate you with their weird questions. I'm sure you'll hear something soon, fingers crossed :)

Congrats on the EAD/AP approvals Rhiann! (not like you really have much time to use them!)

So, allow me to diffuse the myth that no one in California gets transferred to CSC, cause OMFG I JUST DID!! HOLLAAAAH!!!!

(hopefully it doesn't delay my case, but regardless, I don't care if it does, cause it means I don't have to drive 2 hrs into L.A. for an interview! LOL)
