I went in for my Biometrics on Wednesday -- it was quite painless. The staff at the Portland offices were really nice, and I was in and out of there within 15 minutes.

Still waiting to hear about my AP/EAD/AOS -- I really, really hope my file gets transferred to the CSC offices and that my AP/EAD gets to me soon.

Green card received today! Done with USCIS until March 2012!

and Yay Danu! Who got her interview letter! :D

Update on us, we went to the post office today and got a refund for our shipping of the AOS package. It was $28, so it was worth it to try to get the money back! They received it yesterday morning (a day later than when they should have). It was kind of funny because they didn't quite know what they were doing in terms of the refund. It took about 20 mins. lol Ah well.

Can I ask for some opinions? We sent our AOS with just the vaccination sheet from Dr. Saiden and never got an RFE for the I-693. I know the letter they send for the interview is generic as everyone gets the same checklist from what I have read. One of the things on their is an I-693/vaccination suppliment. As I was never RFE'd do you think I need to get one for the interview or should I be ok?

I guess the question is, what are you risking? Will they simply issue you the RFE at the interview? Will they ignore it altogether? Is there a possibility that you will be denied and have to appeal?

I'm not sure Danu. From what I understand, or read, if you do get an interview, then get the I-693 done because quite likely they'll ask for it.

I never submitted the I-693 and had an interview but they never asked me for it. The IO asked me If I had "done a new medical yet" and I told him no, because I was a k-1 and had it done in Canada within the last year. He just kinda nodded, glanced over my medical records from MTL and changed the subject.

But, around the same time I had my interview JulyBride09 and Rob and Mel had an interview as well where they were specifically asked for the I-693. So, really, I think its up to the person who is interviewing you. But, If you explain yourself well you might have a good chance of getting by without it. Just my two cents!
