Congrats on getting the interview date Sam!

It may seem fast, but you filled at the beginning of February right? So beginning of February to end of April is almost 3 months, which is pretty typical for AOS with an interview. You're probably 2 weeks or so faster than the norm. A bunch of us had interviews in the fall and they were all around 3 months after we filled.

If your interview occurs before your EAD and AP are approved then it will kill them, but I bet they'll be approved a couple weeks before your interview just so you can laugh at the waste of paper

Thank god EAD and AP don't have extra fees when you file it all together. lol Otherwise it WOULD be a waste! Congrats Sam!!

I basically have the AOS ready to go now since I decided not to bother with the I-693 at this point. Just have to print off the cover letter and double check and sign everything. BUT now ANOTHER delay... we have to wait for my co-sponsor to file his taxes so he has the support documents to submit for 2009's info. SIGH... ya know, normally a week or two, or even a few days of delay aren't really a big deal... but when that expands to 4 or 5 of these types of delays, it's really pissing me off. I should've been able to file in February too... BLAH.

ok sorry... happy thoughts. Hopefully mine will process quickly too! :)

Awesome news Sam!! I hear these interviews are real simple. It could also be that maybe they just want to see the original of one of the copies you sent. Just make sure you have the packet you sent, with all the originals; your wedding pic's; and bills with both your names, etc. ( car, rental agreement/mortgage, bank account...that sort of thing) I'm sure you'll be fine.

Uhhh

the paper dr. seiden gave me originally says: proof of a primary series of three tetanus/diphtheria immunizations and that a reinforcing dose has been received within the last 10 years OR antibody titres proving immunity OR a td booster NOW or Tdap (adacel).

so the doc at the clinic gave me the td booster.

why give me all those options if i needed the 3 shot one? i had a td booster..it just was longer than 10 years ago which is why he told me to get an updated one. Like i said..i thought td boosters were every 10 years

Dr. Seiden is the CS for the medical right? I'm not sure about the Eastern Provinces as I went to Vancouver. So he gave you an updated booster shot PLUS the Tdap? That's good if he did. The Consulate will look for the adacel booster. Strange if he gave you both though...

My booster wasn't due until this year, (year 10) But I had the Tdap adacel last year before my medical.

Woohoo congrats Sam!!!

Opened the mail today and got 2 letters from the government --

1.) my new social security card under my married name - WOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Was gearing up to go to battle with the social security people, but the card came through!

and

2.) my "welcome letter" from the USA -- it says, "your new permanent resident card will be mailed"... LOL! I wonder if they will mail me another one cause I already got it!

Anyway big sigh of relief. Now I can actually get a new license under my married name... but I think Ill wait til my current one expires before doing so.

Well, we FINALLY mailed our stuff today. Exactly 11 months +1 day since we filed K-1. lol I was really hoping to get it mailed yesterday, but we didn't get our joint sponsor's stuff until 7pm so it was too late. But still.

I dunno. I guess I should be excited, but I'm just very blah about it. I really feel like we are going to get an RFE. I didn't kabillionouble check everything so I feel doubtful, though I know I shouldn't cause I spent about 1/2 my free time last week putting the paperwork together. Ah well.

At least I can finally update my time line! lol

That's great Ashen. I do hope all goes well for you. Even if you do get an RFE, at least you got the package out now, before the I-94 expires. That was coming up soon, wasn't it?

I hope you get approval for your AP and EAD soon Rhianne.
