Question: Is this like K1 where they would put your receipt number on the back of a cashed check before you receive your NOA? Or is there another way of finding out? Thanks!

If they cashed your check, its a sign that theyve received and are beginning your petition. You should receive your NOA1 in a few days.

The only slight issue that I might have is that I have hyphens on my first name and married name, but they don't appear on the NOA's. Hope that won't be an issue later.

Friends, USCIS has approved my EAD.

I wish they had sent me the message earlier, bec I just spent an hour crying over not having an EAD... and now Im crying bec I will now have one :P

Awesome Darkchilde. I hope you get a job soon! Make sure to fax it to EI as soon as it comes in. It's plastic card with your picture on it, and I scanned mine and emailed it to Donna, from the out of country EI claims. You can start putting resumes, and applications out there. :thumbs:

Now if only I could get a job offer! :crying:

Awww I hope you do too. I was told today that Bath and Body Works here in the mall will be doing interviewing next week, so I'm getting an application in there for sure tomorrow. I've inquired around a few places, but nothing yet. I'm not surprised as it's January, and a slow time. Things should pick up in the spring. ( Hopefully around the time I get my GC so I can get my state license, and Tim won't have to drive me everywhere! :wacko: )

My case got transferred to CSC! Got an electronic alert last night... at 10:46 pm :P

So Ive seen lots of cases get transferred -- does anyone know what it really means?

Im really happy and nervous at the same time!

It means case will be adjudicated in California! No local interview!! Congrats!!! :dance:

After transfer to CSC the expected timeframe for approval can vary... Some people

have waited 4 months! I believe the average for October filers after transfer was 30-40 days?

Oh and..... I got a job offer!!! :dance:

I am waiting for 2 more callbacks after interviews last week... But didn't want to turn this one down... That's just bad karma! If I need to I decline the job I don't start training until march 1st. But have backgroud checks, physical, & drug test... Yay...lol! It's a "safety sensitive" position.
