My GC was approved through CSC and I did not require a form I-693(or whichever it is) I just photocopied the one from the interview and sent that. No harm no foul.

I thought I read somewhere that you're supposed to wait 5-7 days after your marriage before you file for AOS.

Is this correct?

I am trying to get my forms organized ahead of time so I can file right away.

I believe you can file for AOS anytime after you get married.

This might just be because of the waiting time for the marriage certificate?

Hmm I thought if your case was transferred, it was already at the last stages of things (ie. towards GC production)? I hope you dont get anymore RFEs TimandJoyce, and get your GC soon.

That's what I'm hoping for too. Once the case was transferred, I got the approval on EAD and AP, and I know that during my RFE stage, everything was put on hold until after. I so want to be done for a couple years!

Ok, so I came back from my civil surgeon today and had to get another tetanus shot. Supposedly, USCIS requires 3 shots of tetanus. After that, you are required to have one every 10 years. I almost had a fit! Of course, perhaps this doctor has seen people come back to him because USCIS sent RFE's regarding inadequate vaccines. Anyway, needless to say, I did get another one for $25 and go bot the signoff for $50. The paperwork for AOS/EAD/AP is done and ready to be mailed off tomorrow! YAY!

My AP came in today!! Course, now I want to use it.. I really don't have plans to go back to Canada until my son gets married in Oct. but I'm just glad that I have it in case there is an emergency. It may still be a couple months before I see my GC ( I'm assuming )

I have two copies.. is that so I keep on and give one to CBP?

On the AOS paperwork, it asks you to put down your name as it appears on the I-94.

Is this the part you kept yourself or the part you filled out at the border?

Because the part that got stapled into my passport does not have my middle name on it, the part I filled out for the officer does.

Should I include my middle name or not?

hmmm can't remember that question. I probably put my full name regardless, just so that it will match up with all the other paper work they have.

I would use the one stapled in your passport, mostly because you'll be sending them a copy with your AOS application. That way if they look to see if the form matches their copy of the I-94 it will match just fine. That and it would be really easy for you to forget what was on the form you originally filled out. But, I don't think it would be much of a problem either way

I didn't fill out an I-94 at the border? They just gave me one already filled out... I never completed a form or signed anything. I didn't realize that was something others do!

I, too, didn't fill out anything at the border, I was just given back my passport with the I-94 stapled in it, so that's my only option.

Well, the I-94 I had had the top part which the border officer kept and the bottom part which I got.

Maybe I filled in it because he wanted to process me quickly.

Who knows.

I filled mine out too, at Vancouver International. Not sure if I was supposed to or not, the fellow helping me usually worked somewhere else, and he said Vancouver did things differently!

Yeah at Winnipeg my I-94 was done for my and typed up *shrugs*
