eek, trying to make sure I have everything together for my interview friday morning :S It's montreal nerves all over again!

and we are going to have to leave so early. My interview is at 8:45 in Durham, which is about 1/2 hour away. But we will have to try and get through rush hour and I need time to get through security there. I have a feeling I won't be sleeping too much Thursday night. Luckily hubby has Fridays and Saturdays off, so it didn't disrupt work for him.

I am getting kinda low about finding a job though. I've had my EAD for a little over a month and I've put out at least 50 resumes and nothing :( What's worse is that I have a degree in Criminology which should be great...except most of it was Canadian law :( I have to learn federal and state law before I can do much in my field *sigh* Oh well, just hope for the best I guess :)

I'm sure you'll both be fine..but I can appreciate how you feel. I really don't like interviews! And best wishes for getting a job in your field! I'm sure you learn what you need to in no time! With the knowledge you have now, it won't take long to add federal and state law, would it. I mean, it's not like starting over is it?

So I just got back from my interview...only took about 15 mins and the guy was really cool. Seemed like a bit of a gamer like us (hubby is behind me saying "not a gamer, more of a snowboarding Bro"), though we were the first couple he's interviewed that met on WoW. Oddness..

Anyway, easy questions, we had more than enough evidence and he was satisfied with that. Then he asked if I had the I693 (vaccination supp)...I said no, I hadn't been RFE'd for it and I sent in the one from my medical which was less than a year old.

He leaves the room for a couple mins..

Comes back and tells me that they have to have that sheet, and they will give me the RFE to come back with it on the 9th or Sept. He says we are lucky because they have DENIED people AOS for not having that sheet lately O.o He buttered up his superior and was able to just issue the RFE though. So now I have to go get the last of my effing gardisil shots (my 2nd one bruised me internally so bad I felt it 3 weeks later) and get my form filled out by a civil surgeon.

So I'm envious of all you that got transfered to CSC..I don't know why I didn't but now everything else is pushed back (ie getting my damn license, getting my SSN changed)

anyway, thats my vent...I should be happy it's over with, but I'm left feeling a bit down.

Damn, sorry to hear that! I can't believe he told you that they have denied AOS just for not having the sheet.... so many people get away with not doing it. Anyway, why not contact Dr. Arnold in TX instead of actually going to a civil surgeon and spending all that money

Sorry to hear about the extra information. Strange that you weren't RFE'd for it, or at the very least, it should have been listed in the things to bring to the interview. On the positive note, you're not denied!! It will all be over before you know it! :star:

Wow i was transfered .. so far no RFE's ugghhh hope i don't have to deal with that

Congrats!! :star: Hope it all goes fast for you!

Jenni, that sucks!!!! Thankfully he was nice and I know it sucks to have everything pushed back, but I guess kinda good that u can take it in yourself? Instead of mailing and waiting?

I worry about the same thing...my son was due for a Hep B shot when I filed...he did it, but vacc sheet is not updated...I hope I don't get an RFE....

Carrie, congrats girl!!!!! Woohoo for you!

July, mist people get the email and letter of trans at the 3 week mark (lately) but they can really trans at any time....maybe you'll hear this week? Did u sign yo for email notifucations?

I just rec'd an email today saying that the file is pending at the office where it was rec'd...i think that means CSC for my file. I'm still in Jersey recoupping from my surgery yesterday....won't be around to check mail for a few days :)

Hi everyone glad ifound the canadian link in this I have been in the us since july of 07, unforunately my husband got laid off this past winter, so things went on hold for fileing for AOS keeping our home we bought in july of 08 was more important, so anyways needless to say i filed for a visa extension which they wouldn't except unless i filed for my AOS so i have now done that even though visa and EAD expired in march and April of 09. Good news so far is they cashed my cheque and my biometrics have been scheduled.P.S my husband now has a better job and I'm working so hopefully all is good with this. my only worry is the late fileing of this but i'm sure they will understand the economic times and family unity, I think they should just skip the interview part and come over for dinner and see us a family it would be much quicker lol. I wish the best for all of us canadians in this time. P.S.S My parents just visited from manitoba for 2 weeks and they are both so happy with my life here with my children and hubby they love our home and were eyeing up the house for sale 2 dooors down lol talk soon all

I don't think Territory has anything to do with it. I think they have up't the amount of CSC trans this summer to reduce back log...almost everyone posting in the July filers', got transfers. I think there's a good chance ya'll will get it.

July, I'm looking at your timeline, and based on my turn around, you should hear of a trans this week. I say Weds or Thurs. You set up for emails?

Keep us posted :)

I just noticed that the last Denver filer to have their case transferred to CSC was in April of 2008. Hopefully its not a regional thing! It seems that VJers moving to Colorado isn't the most common thing...

Now I'm a little worried about the I-693... maybe I should get it transcribed? Or should I still just risk it? I don't really think they would DENY you... I hope that was an exaggeration. If so, that should be an appeal that's fairly easy to win

No, we're not signed up for emails. lol But, that's only because the computer and paperwork aren't in the same location right now. The paperwork is downstairs and I'm upstairs with all of the computers! Guess I could go down and get them and sign up right now...lol
