I just have a question to ask about AOS.

I've looked at the guides, I looked at the AOS instructions, etc.

No where does it say we have to give any relationship evidence.

We do though right? Like joint bills, pictures, things with both our names on it?

I'm sorry if it's a silly question, but I'd like to know so I can start making a list.

You don't need to send any relationship evidence in with the original petition, nope. Some people do thinking they won't get an interview because of it, but its basically a waste of time. There have been a lot of people who were approved without an interview and didn't send in any evidence, and many people who sent in evidence and had an interview anyways. You just need to start gathering evidence in case you end up with an interview, because you will need to provide it then. Things like joint bills and pictures are great. We showed evidence of 2 joint bank accounts, a joint cell phone account, joint car and health insurance, a statement showing me as the beneficiary on my husbands life insurance, and that was more than enough. We had tons of pictures but he didn't want to see them, he said what we had was plenty.

Ohhh, okay.

Thanks Huggles <3

And did you send a photocopy of your marriage certificate or a certified copy?

No problem! :)

And I just sent a regular photocopy. I brought a certified copy to the interview but the IO said he didn't need it and that a regular photocopy is enough. So, I would save yourself the hassle and just send in a photocopy.

Quick question friends -- how do you find out if USCIS has touched your AOS petition? Is it similar to the NAO1 from the I-129F petition or do they email you or something?

The Chicago office received my petition last Wed... so hopefully I'll hear from them soon.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

Green card received: March 18, 2011

Removal of Conditions:

GC Expiration: March 11, 2012

Documents sent: December 13, 2011

if you have an account on the uscis website its just like the k1 visa, you add your number to your portfolio thing and then you can get email and text notices if you sign up for it and you can see touches etc on the website when you are logged in.

edit

heres the sign up if u didnt sign up when u were k1 but you probably did lol https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp

That's great! Must feel good to sit back and relax for a bit now.

I finally got my RFE back in the mail today. Thankfully well under the 87 days they allotted. I was getting a little worried Canada had forgotten all about my call to them a while back. I sure hope this satisfies what they need. Guess I'll wait to see if they want more info. Of course, now I'm fully expecting an interview, if nothing else.

Thanks! It would be nice to get transferred, but I really have some doubts. I do hope that my EAD and AP will get approved soon, though, that was put on hold too! Kinda anxious to be getting a second income into this house...

 That's what I thought too. Did you notice the state flags at the bottom of it? They're really tiny but I'm weird and detail oriented. I've had to use the card as ID a couple times due to my lack of DL and I wipe it every time someone touches it. They get finger prints on it! I paid a lot of money for that darn card!
