Got my interview letter today! November 16th... Yikes! Its nice knowing the date but its a little stressful looking at that long list of things to gather. I have a doctors appointment on Monday to get my last HPV shot, then I'll be out looking for a civil surgeon to get the transcription done. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to do that... seems like a little bit of a pain in the butt.

Good luck next Monday July! Good to hear you got the transcription mess worked out.

Huggle - Congrats on your interview! I had to get my last shot too a few weeks ago. Since we don't have health insurance yet, it turns out that the vaccin was free and that i only had to pay $10 for the administration fee. Go figure how the health care system works here.

Good luck on your shot and transcription!

Talking about health insurance, do it matter if at the interview, we dont have insurance? We've been looking but it is SO complicated that we didn't decide on anything yet. He was covered with the army before, but that is over so now we have to get our own.

So does it matter if we dont have any?

We have car insurance and property insurance with both of our names ;)

Thanks Laure! I don't really think it matters. We have health insurance but there is nothing showing it is "joint" considering I just applied to have the policy after we were married. I wasn't really planning on presenting any health insurance evidence at the interview... I wouldn't know how or what it would prove. Nice score on the HPV shot! I have no idea what its going to cost me.

Thanks! I'm posting later today (don't have time right now) what we're taking to the interview... so we can compare notes. ;) Nice thing about having an interview is... you can get a GC stamp (in your passport) on the spot! You don't have to wait for the GC to be issued! Well, you still have to wait for the actual card, though.

Best wishes on your interviews everyone! Please let us (especially me..) know what you brought, besides wedding pictures... We were told yesterday, even for me to get a State I.D. we'd need proof of me living here at the house with Tim, so we're going to get my name put on the bills, the van, and maybe get a cell phone added to his account. He doesn't have a mortgage here, so I don't know how long it would take, or how complicated it would be to add my name to the house.

Oh and of course, his bank account. However, we need a State I.D. for that... *refer to first sentence*..

I'm filling out the I 485 and have a very silly question. What's my current status with USCIS? K-1? pending? in limbo? I'm afraid the blonde brain can't figure out what it is....

Ugh..sorry!! I should have read more questions and then asked them altogether.

What's the status that I last entered the US? K-1 visa fiancee?

My nonimmigrant visa number? The one in red?

And finally..the place of last entry. I went through Vancouver International Airport. Will that be ok to list that?

Thanks.. didn't realize they asked a few confusing questions!

Actually if she activated her visa at pre-clearance, that is the right airport to put. It is whereever your visa was activated, and most Canadian international airports do preclearance now :)

Last status is K-1 and the one in red should be your non immigrant number yes.

I will post all the things I took to my interview in August in the other thread :) It's really not that bad, especially if you have it all ready to go :)

Hopefully by the end of next week AOS will be mailed off! I've got everything I need to file...minus the photos! So wanting to get this paperwork over with!! So far I have got my military spouse ID, Tricare, Dental, name on SSN changed. They told me 7-10 days to get a new card and had no problems with the fact I was on a K-1 visa and already married. (I was fearing the worst). Tomorrow is car registration and DL...hope that goes well! Already added to his USAA car insurance and a member of USAA...I did not get a checking account yet, because they wanted me to fill out a W-8BEN...(I guess if you are not a GC holder or US citizen).I looked at it and was not comfortable with it at all....so I will just keep my WF account which i've had for a few years now until I get my GC.

Really....Really hoping for no interview notice when I do file.....but we will see!! I am praying that everything will go smoothly and quickly!!

Thanks for the reply! I only need to go back and fill those parts of the forms out, then Tim and I have to do the support one.

Did anyone use their own bank account information for the financial support? I want to show the sale of my house and how much is in MY bank and that I transfer to TIM'S account. I don't know if just printing it from the computer will be enough or if I should have my bank send it. It would take a while as we don't have a fax machine.

One more question...sorry!! On the AP application, what is my "class of admission"?

Online case status is overrated...I didn't check mine for MONTHS after I filed. Now I wish I didn't. Is annoying to see my status say that they received my RFE response and they'll respond within 60 days, when it's said that for almost a month now and it hasn't been updated to reflect the appointment notice I've already received in the mail.

But I understand where you're coming from...the process is wearing, especially when there's no information on what's happening.
