I didn't send 4 copies of the G325a... I didn't think it was needed anymore. I haven't got an RFE for it, at least not yet. In hindsight I probably should have sent 4 just to be safe.

For the 131 form I just made up some dates I would ideally want to visit on. I think the point of that it to show you need a multiple entry AP.

how long did it take them to cash the check and stuff? been a week for me and nothin yet. I figure 1-2 weeks for it to go through but my husband is getting pissed lol.

My check was cashed in just over a week (8 days) and then I got the NOA's a few days after that. It should happen soon!

Imagine if you got an RFE for only sending one copy of the 325... you'd think USCIS could walk over to the photocopier and make 3 copies

 that's exactly what I was thinking! If they really wanted a couple extra copies they could make some, no? If they want to send an RFE for something stupid then ok, be my guest. It would be an easy response!

Oh it's been a long time I didnt post ...

Well i have a stupid question.

At the interview, did you bring a new letter of employer + I-864 or did you just bring new paystubs?

It says on the letter to bring I-864 + letter + taxes + paystubs if not already submitted.

Well obviously we have submitted these docs (for him and our co-sponsor) but did you guys resubmitted new copies?

I'm going to use my recent paystubs (thanks for the reminder!), but already submitted taxes and letter, so I'm not doing new ones.

Sweet me too then :)

Do you bring one of your birth certificate or just copy of your passport? (for the USC)

I'll have mine + translation but i'm wondering if his copy of bio page in passport is enough to prove US citizenship

2nd question : for the I864, do we have to include the last 3 tax returns years or is the most recent year enough ?

Send to Chicago lockbox, via UPS with tracking.

If you meet the financial requirement on the 864 'comfortably' one previous year is fine.

Only suggestion is to include a copy of the marriage certificate with each application for AOS, EAD and AP....more so if you are changing name to married name. They seperate the applications and it's good to have the marriage certificate with each one.

Other than that...you should be good to go :)

Wow! Where did you find the information for all that? I read the guides but it didn't say anything about passport pic' with the AP and EAD application, ( unless its' written on the forms itself ) or the USC birth certificates etc. And I've been reading about people needing another med. exam? I did read something about that, that unless asked, you don't need one if it's been done in the last year. Oh boy...I think we're in for some confusing times..

congats to the most recent approvals...Poprocks, Hapycloud, Star...and any others I may have missed. I just want to get this in the mail soon and join the millions of others waiting for the GC.. But I want to make sure we fill out the forms and provide everything we should. Any extra tips will be appreciated....Thanks! :energy:

Joyce, be sure to read each instruction per form, not just the guides... the instructions are on USCIS website. It will state exactly what you need to send in with each form. You do need to send in 2 passport pics per application, so 6 in total.

I believe, it asks for both... lemme look on the appointment letter... the letter states...

"If your eligibility is based on your marriage, in addition to your spouse coming to the interview with you, bring:

~ "A certified copy of your Marriage Document issued by the appropriate civil authority

~ "Your Spouse's (USC) Birth Certificate AND your spouse's evidence of United States Citizenship or Lawful Permanent status"

and also

~ Divorce decrees, etc. from previous marriages for both of you if you have been previously married

~ Birth Certificates for all children of this marriage and custody papers of other children

So, yes, you have to bring both. As the USC, I'm bringing my passport as ID and proof of citizenship as well as my birth certificate (and copies of both).
