If you haven't received an RFE for your medical yet and already have an interview date, I wouldn't really worry about it.

I received an RFE for just sending in the vacination sheet that I received from the medical back in Canada. All I had to do was go to a local US Civil Surgeon and she transcribed it for me for $40. This was all before they would approve my AP or EAD.

So if you have received your AP as well as EAD and haven't received a RFE, I really don't think you have to worry about it.

Not the case....people are getting RFE's at the interview for not having the I693....you can get RFE's prior to, or even at the interview.

There are several people in the AOS forums that were handed an RFE at the interview for meds.....thankfully, if you satisfy what they are looking for, the turn around is fast :)

Us CSC's may have gotten lucky this time around...but we are likely geared for an interview for sure for lifting conditions! lol

Ok that was weird.

I just got the e-mail saying my approval notice was sent today.

Then I go out to my mailbox and the EAD is in there. Its dated October 1st. I'm not going to complain... but its good to know the online timeline isn't very reliable :P

So now, off the the SSN office this week since my card is still in my maiden name, and then to the DMV so I can finally get that CO license!

Yup, I got my RFE for the I-693 at my interview. He asked where it was, I said I had sent in the sheet from Montreal...we left, went and talked to his supervisor, came back and gave me the RFE> He said that they had been flat out denying people if they did not have the I-693 done as it was requested on the interview letter...my letter didn't seem complete, so he convinced his supervisor to issue me the RFE instead. Had another date a month out to pass it back in, got approved and had my green card about a week and a half later (see my timeline).

Hope this helps!

Nice all the civil surgeons here charge 200$ or require you to have a full medical just for them to transcribe the vaccinations. I sent in my other Vac sheet with a note stating that, as well as the bill from my Medical for my k-1.

Guess im still going to have to get the 693. This is retarded.

Not necessarily. wait and se if you get transferred t CSC. If you get a trans, there is a better chance that you will not need it. I sent in my Vacc Supp with a copy of my receipt from my medical and got approved for my GC...so did a few others this month. It seems people who are getting interviews need it at the interview....I don't know why this is the case....but why spend the extra money if you don't have to. Wait and see. And if by chance you do get trans to CSC and you do get an RFE...one girl did this past month...the day she got her RFE she ran out and got the 693 and returned it the following day, she got an email saying her case was now ressumed and got a GC approval within a week of getting her RFE...

I say take baby steps and don't spend if you don't have to.

Good luck :)

I agree with poprocks, my husband did not do the 693, we just sent in the vac supp letter and we got our green card approval, no RFE. His case was transfered to the CSC. Just wait and see what happens.

We had to take out a loan to be able to pay the aos, we currently dont have 200$ to spend on getting vaccination transcribed, I wish the dr's here werent such assbuckets like that. If i do need a 693 ill have to try and do it through the Dr Arnold and send a letter again as to why i didnt get a local one.

In other news no cashed check for AOS yet! dang i was hoping today was the lucky day. husband leaves soon for deployment.. I made him muffins today! he liked them :star:

hey everyone :) .. quick question:

on I485, they ask for a copy of the passport biographical page as well as entry stamps ...

So my question is, do we need to provide a copy of ALL entry stamps that are in my passport or just the last entry stamp ?

Thanks for your help :)

Good question...I would say just the main K (I-94) entry, but i'm sure all wouldn't hurt? You would have satisfied that in your K1 application though...i'm sure others will chime in... I actually wanted to just remind you to include a passport bio page for your husband as well.

and don't forget that the G325 is 4 copies. Some people were unclear on that. :)

Good luck!

ps. I'm in Canada!!!!! First trip back since AI moved in May, it's been 4 months already! I was so nervous coming across thinking I would forget something and not be let back in! But I figured worst case my GC is approved and my husband would just mail it to me here in Canada to get back in lol.... i'm sure my AP will be fine...i've been guarding it with my life!

I'm having a nice visit, and I miss my husband already! It's our first time apart (he had to stay for work, plus he knew the first visit would be me really wanting time with my peeps lol).

Canadian CPB asked where I live, how long I was staying and she was intelligent enough to ask how I was planning on getting back in to the US, and I said my AP. At least she was nice enough to put it out there :)

I love my EZ Pass transponder...I drove 8 hours and flew through the tolls :)

Only worry I have is when I get back to cross over, my GC info is listed with my DE address in the USCIS system, and my car is registered to my PA address and my DL too. I just moved recently and was waiting to rec've my GC before I send in a change of address. I hope the boarder doesn't look at me and say 'we have you listed as DE why is your car and DL in PA? I'm sure if I explain that I just moved in the past few weeks, it should be ok.

I was surprised that the boarder lady just let us in on our passports and didn't ask any custody issues about my son? Like where his father resides and custody etc... you know, usually when a child travels with just one parent, they want to know consent etc....

anyways, Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians!

:)

also, for the 131 form, do we have to specify a departure date and estimated time of stay ? I'm only applying in case of a familly emergency, so I do not have such infos, what should I enter in there ?

Congrats for the trip and enjoy your stay in Canada ;)

I didn't send 4 copies of the G325a... I didn't think it was needed anymore. I haven't got an RFE for it, at least not yet. In hindsight I probably should have sent 4 just to be safe.

For the 131 form I just made up some dates I would ideally want to visit on. I think the point of that it to show you need a multiple entry AP.
