I'm wondering, if one were to call USCIS, if they'd be able to tell you whether or not the DS 2035 (vax form from K1 medical exam) was completely filled out or not.

I found the following infromation from the USCIS site.

See link here

Medical Examination

If you received a medical examination prior to admission as a K nonimmigrant, then you are not required to have another medical examination at time of adjustment as long as:

Your Form I-485 is filed within 1 year of your overseas medical examination

The medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition

If you did have a Class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility and you have complied with the terms and conditions of the waiver

Even if a new medical examination is not required, you still must show proof that you have complied with the vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as part of the original, overseas medical examination report, you will have to have the vaccination report completed by a designated civil surgeon. In this case, you are required to submit Part 1, Information About You, Part 2, the vaccination chart, and Part 5, the Civil Surgeon's Certification, of Form I-693 (in an envelop sealed by the civil surgeon). Please see the instructions for Form I-693 for further information.

Any insight???

Thanks!

Humm... that's really interesting! So maybe people are getting RFE's because the forms are not properly and completely filled out? But others who have things completed properly have been ok? I have no idea how you would tell...

If you haven't received an RFE for your medical yet and already have an interview date, I wouldn't really worry about it.

I received an RFE for just sending in the vacination sheet that I received from the medical back in Canada. All I had to do was go to a local US Civil Surgeon and she transcribed it for me for $40. This was all before they would approve my AP or EAD.

So if you have received your AP as well as EAD and haven't received a RFE, I really don't think you have to worry about it.

Jenni received an RFE at her interview for the medical I believe.... Her GC approval was set back a month because of that.

That's why I'm wondering if there's a number he (my husband) can call to see if the DS 3025 was completely filled out or not. I'm tempted to bring the information from the USCIS website with us, to explain WHY there was no 693... if we can't get an answer back from Dr. Arnold's office... which is where we're at right now. In addition, my husband called Dr. Arnold's office today to speak with the girl who does the transcriptions (Tammy) and the message machine said that the more you call, the more likely it is that they (at the office) would ignore your paperwork. Funny thing is, they don't even HAVE his paperwork... he's just trying to set it up for them to do the transcription. UGH!!! WHat a royal pain this is!

So, as I was trying to find another doctor for him (since he won't find one himself), I came across the information from the USCIS site and thought I'd ask here.

So... Jenni... do you know if the DS 3025 was in your file? Was it not completely done? Did you have your med exam in Toronto??

Thanks! :)

As optomistic as I try to be for people....trying to call USCIS regarding your old K1 file...ummm you may have better luck locating a tick on a dogs ***....HAHA! No seriously....that type of detailed info does not make it into their systems....your entire file is shipped with you in your yellow envelope to your POE... once they activate your visa, they ship it off to get filed in who knows where, never never land....with the volume they deal with, it is unlikely they scan every piece of document. You'll have a better chance just doing the 693 and saving the headaches and unknown...I mean if you want to chance it...go for it...what's the big deal? they tell you that you need it and you wait an extra 2-3 weeks to get approved....hey you stand to save $50 t $200!

But if you don't want to deal with the unknown....then Google SG's.... Dr. Arnold is not the only convenient one... there are tons just as cheap and willing to help you out...

Me and Happycloud just got approved and neither of us had the 693 transcribed...Not sure what theyre looking for.

Is your appmnt on a Friday? Maybe that will help lol theyll be in a good mood lol

Quick question for you you guys! last week I got the e-mail that my EAD was approved. Today I got an e-mail that says they just mailed out my approval notice. Does this mean they have actually produced the card and are mailing it to me? or does it mean they are going to send me a letter saying its approved and then send the actual card separately?

You'll get another 2-3 emails before you see the card lol....

I got my first 'approval' Sept 2nd, then another email on the 6th and another on the 11th, all saying something to the effect of 'approved' 'ordered' 'mailed'....I was like WTH? And then on the 16th it showed up in the mail... It seems that they usually say 30 days but most people are seeing EAD's and GC's within 2 weeks.

I leave for Toronto Thurs....and that will only be 6days since my GC was approved, so I likely won't see it before I leave....will have to use myAP...secondary here I come! lol
