EAD and AP approved! I got the e-mail tonight at 10:15 mountain time. How late are people in Chicago working these days?!

So, at this point should I assume that I'm going to be having an interview? Its looking that way.

Hi everyone, we are finally married

So after getting married, applying for SSN, importing the car etc, we are now filing for AOS and need a lil bit of help, there are some "unclear" questions (or maybe it is just unclear to us .. lol)

1: So on form G-325a, there is the following question

- "This form is submitted in connection with an application for:", (and we have the following choices) : Naturalization, Status as permanent Resident, Other (specify) -> 129f petition .. we are not too sure which one to pick

- Also, who should be filing out this form ? The US citizen or the Canadian citizen ?

2: on form I-485

- They are asking for the "A#" .. Is it the one at the back of the I94 in my passport ?

- They also ask for the non immigrant visa number .. which number is it on the visa ?

3: on form I-864

- At question 21, there seem to be a conflict in what they are asking .. they ask for our household size, and specify (do not count anyone twice) .. So if we enter 1 for "Persons you are sponsering in this affidavit", then 1 for "yourself", then 1 for "if you are currently married, enter 1 for your spouse" .. That makes 3 in total but we are only 2 .. so how should we go about filing this one ?

Thanks very much in advance for your help everyone :)

1. The Canadian citizen fills this out. It would be for Status as a Permanent Resident.

2. Yes, the A# if the number on the back of the I-94. The non-immigrant visa # should be somewhere on the actual K1 visa - I can't remember exactly where.

3. You would just could you and then the person you are sponsoring. I think for spouse I put n/a or I just put same as sponsor or something like that.

Congrats on the marriage!

Just sent off my AOS today they weight the packet at 1lb! it was about 2" thick with papers haha. Should arrive in chicago in a few days with confirmation signature on it to make sure they get it. I hope it goes well, my husband will be gone for quite a while as he is deploying in about a week. I put a note in about him not being able to attend an interview and also had to put in a note about the medical transcription.

I know you can mail to TX dr and get the vaccinations transcribed, but called around nebraska and all of them say that just writing the vaccines over to the sheet is 200$. I told them I didnt need a full medical and asked if that was the price without medical and just transcription and they said yes then said any shots i need are EXTRA ontop of the 200$ which is TOTTAL BS!!!. A couple other places said I had to have the full medical to get the vaccinations transcribed? which didnt make sence to me. So we are chancing it without the transcription. I put a note in about the cost and what they said to me as well as a copy of my bill from medisys and the sheet they gave me from medisys with my shots all on it.

so we shall see how this goes!! we are hoping to get sent on to CSC as my husband wont be here for interview and all that, we included a butt load of marriage proof/relation proof in the packet too in hopes that maybe it would be sent ahead to CSC since it has the extra info in it.

Congrats on getting it sent out Inky! I didn't send the transcription either... So far so good. The bad news is that it seems like they've really slowed down the CSC transferring :( I'm starting to accept the fact I'll probably have an interview. I would imagine that since your husband is gone for a good reason there would be some kind of exception made for you.

ya i looked in the military spouse thread on here which is kind of dead lol, most of them had to go to interviews without the husband/wife and were fine with it only a few of them seemd to be given issues by the interviewer. I just stuck the letter in so they knew from the start and had it on file, even if they slowed it down im hopin they will transfer mine!! maybe they will cus we are military? They seemed to push our visa through fast when we first applyed for 129F.
