My EAD has FINALLY been approved....4+ months from when I submitted my AOS package. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get my card, but with my luck it will get lost in the mail....lol

Congrats! Hope it arrives quickly. My husband's EAD card arrived quicker than I had expected.

LIla everything has happend quicker for you! I"m very very happy things are going great with your entire immigration process, but i gotta say, i'm a bit jealous lol :P

And i wish my self confidence did not get up and go with looking for a job. Not havign worked in almost 2 years..i'm kinda scared of starting over again. i mean i had a great job in canada, making 19/hr doing stuff i loved, now, i have to settle for 10/hr if i'm lucky and doing anything i can get. Blech lol. And being in Chicago, theres like 10 ppl for every job just about. Hubby says it's ok if i dont work but i dont have an excuse not to work! lol.

But hey, at least i can find myself on a map now :P i've actually got a mental image of a map in my head for where i live i relation to all the stores etc. Finally got used to the area a bit so i just might not get lost if i actually go for a walk now :P

LOL isn't this waiting fun (please note the sarcasm!)

We held off in filling for AoS, I'm thinking that was dumb but, oh well...Now though I have to admit I'm a little worried..Medical expires on Oct. 13/10 we have that it was in their hands on Oct. 4th but no email/SMS saying it has a number yet..Not going to get myself in too much of a panic if I have to redo the medical I do...

So I just thought I'd say hi!

I'll be happy to start sending one of my hubbys fingers for each day y'all dont have your GC's. Eventually they'll get so grossed out they'll HAVE to send them!

But it's weird, we just got 2 emails and texts in a row saying that they've sent a notice approving his AOS, and when I checked online it's now moved to Post Decision Activity. Maybe they sent the emails in the wrong order?

I wouldn't worry about the emails. I got several emails about the EAD, and then got another email about the EAD after I got the EAD.

I just want Sean's green card! We filed in May and everything was perfect! I must just have gotten in a slow processor's stack. :crying:

That's what I was beginning to think about mine. We hadn't had a touch since the 3rd of September and then we got the card production email yesterday. They probably put it in a stack to be approved and forgot about it. Same with yours. I can't honestly imagine what could take 5 months to approve. You look at it, see they've got everything, got evidence, APPROVE. Seems simple enough. But maybe they've got to do a test on the paper to make sure everything was printed on the right type, maybe do a little carbon dating, check the news for the day that petition was filed.

Hey, maybe that's why I got an RFE for the financial stuff. We used the wrong freakin' paper. Darn it. :P

I think that I am in that same pile!! I still don't have my EAD card yet (hoping that it comes this week). The last touch on my I-485 was on the 21st of Sept when they got my biometrics, so who knows how long it is going to be since the processing was on hold for 3 months waiting for my biometrics!! I start my maternity benefits next week, so none of it really matters at this point.....except I would like to get a state drivers licence (they only gave it to me for the 90 days that my I-94 was valid for) and need my EAD or GC to get it renewed :( Oh and it would just be nice to be done with all this stuff for a couple of years!!
