I hear that. I had to go earlier this month to take my written test, and California requires us to have another driven test as well, which I get to do next Tuesday. While I'm at the DMV for that, I have to also go and register our car in our names (it's currently in my hubby's dad's name). Good times. Not. The best is that this car was supposed to be transferred to him before I even moved here! Now it's my problem! great.

Well I sent my AOS packet offon the 8th and today it was returned (feel free to have a pity party on my behalf). Of course all it says is Rejected because of an 'outdated' form. It took me awhile to figure that which one since they all expired 2011 or 2012. Well apparently the I-485 I used that wasn't to expire until 2011 was replaced by one that expires dec 2010. I guess I never looked at that one to see if there was a newer version before I printed off my STACK of papers (did I mention I have 3 kids so everything times 3). I just got it all refilled out and printed and put back together so we can overnight it tomorrow.

Blah...seriously not impressed with myself. :bonk: :bonk:

I sent my AOS package in at the beginning of June and still have not even recieved my biometerics appointment yet, so if you are not able to get an expedite, you will most likely be in for a wait of 3-4 months......It seems that processing for AOS and EAD is quite slow right now :(

i'm seriously starting to go stir crazy....and there is noting on tv since it's summer. i'm cleaning twice a week. i keep rearranging stuff in the apartment. trying to keep myself busy. As soon as David gets home from work i bombard him with talkign and questions about his day etc.

oh boo! that has to really suck. Least it didn't take too long for them to let you know something was wrong.

Yeah apparently I wasn't the only one...another July filer did the same thing.

I so understand the stir crazy thing...I wish we could afford to get a second vehicle but after sending 2810 to USCIS plus all the other expenses of moving etc...there is just no way right now.

We got a dog to keep me company. Turns out the organization we rescued our little Yorkie from needed more foster homes, so now I'm a foster mom to a very, very shy toy poodle. I think he comes from a pretty rough past but I definitely have some time to help him.

We got kittens! lol Both of my girls got a kitten for their birthday in June. They eat. Sleep. Poop.....a LOT. Oh and try to tear up my house so I guess the part where I'm hollering NOOO! and running after them when they jump on my table or try to scratch at my leather couch keeps me busy!

Not quite busy enough though.

hehe I have two cats too, one of them sleeps all day and the other one follows me around all day! I keep bugging DH to adopt a doggy but he wants to wait until we have a baby! I'm not even pregnant yet! But I'm starting a new job in September so I'll be spending the time preparing for that so I guess I'll be busy. I understand the not having anything to do thing, it has been driving me crazy lately, especially since I can't go anywhere without a DL.

Yikes, I hope my husband and I filed the right form. We mailed it off last Tuesday and they still haven't cashed the check but we won't be home until this Thursday. How long did it take for them to return it if it was an "outdated form"?

They received it on the 9th and I got it back on the 19th. If you downloaded the form from USCIS website recently then you're fine. I downloaded it probably a few months ago when I was still twiddling my thumbs up in Canada and started on the paperwork then. Being ahead of the game bit me in the a$$.
