I have a crazy question for those of you who filed your AOS. I was thinking about starting the G-325, and any other forms we could, just to speed up process after we get married. But do I do it in my married name? Or the name Tim used when he petitioned for me? I'm so confused. Thanks for your help!!

If you want your GC to have your new married name on it, put your new name on ALL the AOS forms.

Ok thanks! I'll do that then. From what I've read; travel isn't that hard when you have your AP/GC and marriage license with you. My passport will be in my name now for a long time..

Yeah same here! It doesn't expire until 2014, so there's no way passport Canada is getting another $89 out of me until then.

I got my NOA's today! They're dated August 25th, talk about slow mail.

Received my e-mail today that my husbands case was transfered to the CSC :thumbs::dance::thumbs:

Woohoo! that's great news! How amazing is it that you likely will not have an interview and not have to prep all that proof etc...!!!

My husband banks all paperless and we are still unpacking...if I had to get all this proof together, I don't know where I would start! lol...

Well, we still haven't heard about our case being transferred, so I'm starting to think chadlaure was totally right about Detroit cases not getting transferred. :( Hmmm... anything can still happen.

That sucks July! Just in case, you should start gathering/putting aside evidence if you're called for an interview, you won't have to rush around last minute!

So i didnt receive my biometrics letter yet

Online it says "Current Status: Case received and pending" for AOS, EAD and AP

NOAs are from Aug 14th and last touch was on the 19th.

Is it normal it is taking such a long time to get a letter???

Julybride (who also filed in Detroit) got her bio letter soon after the NOAs

We went today for his biometrics and just checked our online status also... still says the last update was 8/11 and that we have received our NOA1. Hmmm.....

Check your NOAs... it was on the same piece of paper. Although we applied for the 3-in-1 for the $1010... we only got the two NOAs... for the EAD and the AoS. Nothing came for the AP and in the two NOA papers he received, it said the date and time. Hmmm... wonder why your papers are different?

I just realized that me and my son have been touched a lot and didn't even realize it lol...

July 23, my AP

July 29, son's AP

Aug 24, both of our I-485's and both of our EAD's were touched....

Hoping I see something soon :)

I thought I knew how to check for "touches"... but I don't think I do. Could someone explain how I can check for touches to Duncan's "account" to me? Thanks!

That's strange! My NOA's said they will book me a bio apointment at the nearest office and send me a letter with the date and time. I'm still waiting on mine too, but its only been a couple days since I recieved the NOA. You never got a NOA for the AP?

Based on what I've been reading, they often transfer people after the biometrics take place... so there is still hope!

Yeah, I suppose I should start prepping for an interview. But, proof. What proof? I'm assuming pictures, concert tickets with pictures, we now live together. I haven't transferred bills into OUR name yet (since he moved in with me). So, I guess I'm off to the AOS forum for July filers and start snooping around there for AOS interview information. Ugh.
