To a degree yes, the economy is like a big train it takes a little while to get going but its probably been alot of different things, the bailout(which I was against at the time) Im no economist and dont claim to have all the answers but when people want to start giving credit to Obama on what looks like a economy that is starting to turn around, that just makes me want to laugh.

Its politics of sour graping. First they wanted nothing to do with the current way of doing things. Then they want to take all the credit for the inevitable upswing. How curious it might even come proximal to mid term elections. Both sides should seriously be more concerned with the people being affected in the meantime, and even (IMO) Obama isn't doing sufficient (but he is trying albeit a wall of pushing back from... ehemmm). Of course the opposition's main concern now is to throw as many roadblocks out of political principle. That doesn't preclude infighting among democrats unfortunately.
