Is there any way to save the DS230? I have Adobe 7.0 and9.0 and they won't let me save. I dont have a printer and it would be nice if I could prepare the document, save it and take it somewhere with a printer to print it out?

The changes can't be saved with Adobe Reader. You can save changes with Adobe Acrobat.

I second that. However, note that the changes saved with Foxit reader will not be seen if you open the saved document in Acrobat. So, if you save changes using Foxit, you will need to open the document using Foxit when you print it.

You saved changes to fields w/ Foxit, then opened the same doc in Acrobat and saw the data you previously saved to those same fields? I've never been able to get that to work.

Yep, totally second this. I never understood what people were talking about when they said this, but I've always used the full Acrobat and never had a problem saving and amending all the documents.

The changes can't be saved with Adobe Reader. You can save changes with Adobe Acrobat.

Yup

I used Foxit Reader to fill in DS-230 and DS-3032, and my husband used Adobe to correct something on my DS-230 with NP

My version of Foxit wouldn't let me save the file but when I was going to close the file it'd ask me if I want to save the changes I made, I click yes and boom... changes saved ;)

I have not tried this for the DS230 but I use it a lot to save stuff. You can download cutepdf writer it is free on adobe. It will allow you to print the completed document to a saved file as a pdf. It is a nice little feature for forms.

I downloaded and used the foxit and it worked like a charm. I was able to save it, and when I reopened it, it opened in Adobe with all the same info in there. The only thing is, if you wanna change it again, you have to open it with foxit again to make/save changes. But either way it worked out. This adobe/acrobat programs are so weird...thanks guys!
