Congratulations Th3mo. Your news encourged me to email the consulate again. I emailed the Consulate in July 9th. What do you think Guys? Shall I bother them again and email them or wait more time? Congratulation again :)

Switched to IR1 visa

visa issued-----------07-04-2011, but the Consulate kept my passport

3rd interview---------24-05-2011 with the Homland Secuirty office in Jerusalem

4th interview---------06-06-2011 interviewd my wife, the Homland Secuirty office in Jerusalem

passport received-----14-06-2011 with IR1 visa

US Entry----------21-09-2011

thank you Rami-Becky , and e-mail embassy never was bad thing just let them know that you waiting and keeping an eye on them , and try to call them to see whats going on , but my advice call DOS over there in DC they are lil friendly than embassy ,Good Luck and waiting to hear some good news from ya soon inshaallah :thumbs:

some good news here from US embassy in Cairo , sent them an e-mail couple of days ago asking about my status of my AP and got some worried because it took them such a long time to answer me back , but GUESS WHAT

" DEAR.SIR

YOUR ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESS HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND WE NEED YOUR PASSPORT " :dancing::dance::dance:

first thing in the morning going to dhl my passport

you are next brothers and sisters you are next just keep faith up and will pass smooth and easy Good Luck all

congratulations !!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that you will your visa soon .

Timeline

I believe the reason they wait till the interview is cause AP is done, only after fingerprinting, which is taken at the interview.

Also everything so far is all on paper. The CO obviously looks at a few things while in person to decide whether he approves the petition for the AP to take place.
