I'm posting this here because I'm not getting any info on the China forum or on the IR-1 forum but I know that a lot of African's study in China, so maybe someone here has had this experience.

My husband and I lived in China for about 4 years. About 2.5 years ago, my husband returned to his country. Before he left, we got him a PCC from the PSB in our city in China. That is no longer valid as it has been too long, so we will have to apply for another one. Has anyone here had to apply for PCC from China from outside of China? If so, can you let me know how difficult it was and how long it took to get it, and if you have any tips.

Thanks.

P.S. My husband's country, Benin, has a Chinese Embassy if that helps.

Hi! I'm sorry I don't have any experience or advice to offer. Can you please tell me the meaning of PCC and PSB?

I hope someone can answer your question. Sometimes its quiet on the weekends.

Thanks.

By PCC I mean the police clearance or records. I can't remember exactly what PSB stands for but it is the branch of the police who deal with foreigners in China. Every foreigner has to deal with the PSB at least once a year in China.
