Indian Girls Plow Fields Naked in Attempt to Bring Rain

Indian farmers -- desperate for rain -- have asked their unmarried daughters to plow dry fields naked, in a bid to spark interest from the weather gods, and bring some badly needed monsoon rain.

The nude girls in the eastern India state of Bihar chanted hymns as they plowed the fields, asking for rain, witnesses told Reuters.

"They (villagers) believe their acts would get the weather gods badly embarrassed, who in turn would ensure bumper crops by sending rains," Upendra Kumar, a village council official, told Reuters.

"This is the most trusted social custom in the area and the villagers have vowed to continue this practice until it rains very heavily," she told Reuters.

I don't know about your area but we have been getting plenty of rain this year. It is warm temps we need for the crops. Our apples are rotting off the tree because of the cool temps and rain.

Yeah Chicago has gotten lots of rain too. I know you're a bit south from Starved Rock... but earlier this season its lower parts flooded in from the river.

So we can check for Midwestern farmers' daughters plowing for heat.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

Have you ever seen a farmers daughter? Why do you think I went to Venezuela?

Heard that nude girls jumping into active volcanoes also works to please the gods. But plowing a field naked sounds a lot more humane.

What works for me is to buy a boat or a plane and plan to use it over the weekend, that makes it rain like crazy.

fields were plowed in the midwest in april and may. too cold to be naked. Off course the new tractors do have heat, air, dvd players and power steering!!
