I'm confused on this a bit. Anyone help? Im worried about filing the CR1 and having the wait time increase ( I know its about the same as a K3 now) Can I go ahead and file the I-130 now, and then go for the K3 at the same time as the Cr1?

Am I making any sense?

1) Do not go for the K-3.

2) The first step in the K-3 process is filing the I-130, which is also the petition to begin the CR-1 so yes, you will automatically be applying for both and you can choose later.

yes, you can have both petitions on file with the USCIS at the same time. A petition should not be confused with a visa (CR-1/K-3) or a visa application which comes later after petition approval

YMMV

Ok, Thanks Pay. So, I file the I-130 now, and then file the I-29 and just see how things look?

Yes you can, but their would be those that would argue the I-129F petition will slow down the I-130....

YMMV

Ooh me, me!

Lost at least two months because of the I-129f, probably more.
