I call my wife Several names, including Visayan terms like Inday and Palangga.

She is from a Visayan speaking family in Davao, you know.

Before we go to sleep and I’m in the Mood for love, I whisper, “sigue na Inday”.

She refers to me as Big tall daddy. Of course, everything in Texas is big.

Texas is God’s country. Don’t your ever Mess with Texas.

he used to call "beb" (short for babe) until i found out something about that name so 'twas forever banned in our household, now he calls me hon or boogy (short for booger) i call him SNOT.

Does your husband ever slip and call you in Ilocano terms such as "biagko", "ayatko" or "baket"?

That's very good! Because my husband and I are both Ilocanos, sometimes he calls me "baket" and I call him "lakay". :star:

Hello friends,

There are so many ways to address our loved ones. We can call them by their first names or by any other name, especially in times of rage, passion, happiness, loss, need or what have you. I call my husband honey or hon, but when I’m in a bad mood I roar with his first name – Eduardo. At the height of passion, I yell “honey”, spiced with various interjections! How about you?

well, i call my fiance.. honey/hon,or baby.. or in his first name hehehe....

yeah that's the word he taught me to call him "lakaY"!

u know what sets us up for an argument, his loud booming voice, i often get offended by it, but he always tells me that's how ilocanos talk, very loud, but it doesn't mean he's shouting, is this true?

I believe that could be true and your husband must possess a natural loud voice too. My husband is soft spoken and I can always tell when he is upset. By the way, you don't want to use the monicker Lois Lane or Terry Hatcher? :D

oh yes, his voice is really loud, he's sings tenor, but somehow it always irritates me when he starts yapping in a loud voice, maybe because im not really used to be yelled at so i always misconstrue his loud voice as shouting..

I got it! It's past 11:00 PM, Pacific, here in Phoenix and the mister is now yelling its bedtime. It's been nice chatting with you, Mrs. Cage. Good night! :star:
