Hi,

I think there is some topic about this already but im a little bit confused about it.Soon i will have my medical here in the US for my Adjustment of Status coz my medical was already expired. Is it expensive if i will do my vaccination also at one of the civil surgeon that it's in the USCIS list?or i can ask my OB-GYNE to do the vaccine and then the civil surgeon will transcribe in my I-693?

Please help me especially those who experienced the medical here(US), how much is the medical including vaccination? How many months/year that the medical here(US) valid or expires?

I will appreciate your replies.

Hello,

The price depends on how many vaccines you need, the Doctor will know what kind of Vaccines that you need though.

Actually it would be better if you still have the record of your old Vaccinations from your Medical Exam in your country when you applied for the K-1 visa, you can show it to the Doctor here in the US who you go to for your next medical exam. My medical Exam including the vaccines was less than $500.

Oct 2005 - met my baby

Dec 2006 - he proposed

Feb 2007 - K-1 filed

Dec 2007 - K-1 Visa Interview (denied), the reason: i was overstayed my previous visit in 2000-2003 (my bad)

Feb 2008 - I-601 Waiver filed

Sept 2008 - Waiver approved (K-1 Visa issued)

Jan 2009 - the Wedding Blessing & Reception (Bali, Indonesia)

Feb 2009 - Arrived in the US followed by the Civil Wedding & Reception (again:)

March 2009 - AOS filed

April 2009 - Biometric

May 2009 - EAD card in hand

Aug 27th 2009 - AOS Interview (approved, yaay)

Sept 2009- Green Card arrived in the mail...yippeeeew...(i want to sing of Your Love forever)

June 2011 - ROC filed

July 2011 - Biometric

Dec 2011 - ROC approved (Best Christmas ever, i must've been a really good girl this year :)

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!

I hAd my medical here last May, 2009 and it was over 400$ including my vaccinations.

You can get your vaccinnations anywhere as long as you will let the CS who is approved by the USCIS transcribe it on your i-693 form.

Good luck!:)

I got my shots from the clinic referred by the CS who transcribed my i-963. I had to get it that way because I was in a hurry for my RFE deadline.

You can it your vaccinnations anywhere as long as you will keep the records of it and let the CS approved by USCIS transcibe it on your form i-963. My friends did the same and it worked out well.

You can find my post in this forum, where I wrote how i did to complete my I-693.

My CS charged me only $79, becuase I completed all shots/blood tests at

local county health department prior to my appointment at CS.

If you are not sure about the requirements, call CS first to ask what the requirements are.

BTW..most of health departments give you free HIV test.

Other shots I had such as Polio, TB, etc..cost me $10 EA.

My total cost for I-693 was less that $150.

Good luck :star:

If you did your medical before (when you came o K-3 visa), then it means you should have all required vaccines, and you only need to do the physical part of the exam (TB skin test, HIV, syphilis test etc), but you do not need to have vaccinations again. All you need to do is bring your records from previous medical exam to a civil sergeon's office, and he will mark all vaccines you had on the new I-693A form. You can find all civil sergeon on uscis.gov, it is an easy search by the zipcode. Prices vary, so you should call offices and ask how much they charge for only physical exam.

I just had my medical this week, and paid $450 for it, but I did not have vaccination records with me, and had to get MMR,Td again (I had those when I was a kid), and Hpv is an expensive vaccine. If I didn't have to get those, my medical would cost me only $170.

Medical exam is valid for a year after it was issued.

I am in the process of doing my medical now.

First, I printed out a list of civil surgeon in my area. Then, i found out who of them are in my health insurance network. I called to them first and asked about their prices and if they take insurance for that. I found out that none of them accept insurance for this kind of service. Thus, I started to call to the others in the list and found out the prices. They were varying drom $400 to $200 and I found one who charges $95 for physical exam + vaccinations. I made an appointment with that one next week. They also said that if I can bring my vaccination records to them (and they gave me a list of what I need according to my age, there are just 2: tetanus and MMR. I have both) , I wont need pay extra for vaccination.

Thus, I am expecting to pay just $95 for my medical. BTW this office is not the nearest, but within a reasonable distance from my home.
