Hi everyone,

I am on a K1 visa and am getting together my AOS package and I have a question...

on the I-485 form it states copies of passport pages etc. to be enclosed.... does that solely mean just the page with the K1 visa on it and the biogeographical page, or does that include other pages with ALL entry stamps to the USA??

also some people in the past have included a copy of the nonimmigrant visa and fiance approval (I-797) and copy of the I-485 with the temp EAD form I-765.... is that strictly necessary???

especially as I am filing them together..... I can't see anywhere on the instructions that these extra docs need to be filed with the I-765.

thanks everyone

Paul

Hi Collie,

thanks for that info, but where does it say that in the instructions??: ALL pages in your passport?

doesn't it just say a copy of the biogeographical page and the one with your visa on it?

I'm confused!!!

Ok I know this is 18 months old so I am certain fees have changed but this is a copy of the cover letter we enclosed with my AOS submission (since successfully completed with no RFE's) it would appear no we didnt submit complete passport copy just the pages/info requested. With regard to the multpiple copies ofthe I-485 submitted with the EAD and AP the assumption is that although filed together they will be separated once recieved and so hence a copy with each to justify the filing of the individual applications (hope that makes some sense) like I said it worked for us but I aint no lawyer

ref is the approval notice necessary

From Part 2. front page of I-485 where as a K-1 you tick 2 © it states

" I entered as a K-1 Fiance(e) of a U.S. citizen whom I married within 90 days of entry, or I am the K-2 child of such a fiance(e) [Attach a copy of the fiance(e) petition appoval notice and the marriage certificate.]"

So yes I would say it is necessary
