Have you gone to the uscis website and created an account for your receipt number? Maybe they would have more information about it that way. I can see why you are worried!! but still, they cashed the check!!

my hubby already created an account. but since the receipt number isn't in the system yet he can't add it. yeah they did huh... but still. they cashed it Aug 10th. it's the 20th for crying out loud!... no NOA1 and still not in the system??? i am looking at others' timelines and i worry more average time is about a week for others

So, U mean U haven't receive the noa1? U can't create an account without the Receipt #, and U can't see also the

receipt at the system. U can see the receipt if u have a NOA1 that ur hubby receive to there house or where he address his mailed. u can see the receipt the at the right upper of the NOA1

Hi all... Just found this thread... I filed on July 18th and got the NOA1 with a receipt date of July 23rd (it's @ the California Service Center).. have been checking USCIS's site... still not 'touched' ... hoping to get NOA2 around late September/early November after looking around this site and past USCIS NOA2 approval data... Does that seem right?

hello... I ask my friend about that HARD COPY, we haven't receive also the HARD COPY.. she said, that HARD COPY and NOA1 are same.. I will try to ask here again, just to make it clear .. Don't worries okey.. have faith and be patients,, hehehe

NOA1 is the receipt for the petition, and is a hardcopy letter mailed to the petitioner (assuming the petitioner put his correct address on the petition).

Abbie~ I read a thread somewhere on here that you dial that number and then press 1(?) then 0 then you will get a live person instead of the automated voice. I would be pressing all sorts of buttons trying to get a "real" person....I hope you hear from someone or something soon!!!! You have ALOT more patience that I would have!

Hello everyone. I filed I-130/CR1 on July 14, 2009. My case was touched on both August 20th and again today, August 21st. I tend to easily get excited by this...but my question is whether you guys think there is any unusual significance to 2 touches in 24 hours. Thanks for any input. Eric.

"Hardcopy" means "paper copy." If you received the Receipt Notice of Action, you received the "hardcopy."

Most likely they are considering the NOA1 to be the email notice and the Hard copy to be the actual letter. It is normally actually the letter that counts the most, since it is what is needed later on in the process (although not so much with CR-1). However, with things changing to electronic that might also be changing

I hope you get your hard copy soon. I would not be worried tho since they did cash the check and did assign a number. Maybe send a letter if you cant get through on phone?

did you add one more digit to the last number on the back of ur wac?

for example: wac# 987654321+1= wac#987654322 and that would be ur original wac# on ur NOA1 probably that's why ur getting validation error.

the other reason might be that not necessarily you'll be able to check that # with uscis website even if you have the number. we were not able to check our number until after it was approved we had the account with uscis, just the noa1 # never worked till approval, it's called not updated regularly system
