I wouldn't anticipate an NOA2 anytime in the near future. Right now, the CSC is approving petitions mostly from early April. A few days ago the average time from NOA1 to NOA2 (as per VJ stats) was 118 days, but I saw today it has dropped to 108 days. Here is a link to "Igor's List," which has the 15 most recent approvals along with the still unapproved petitons in order by NOA1 date. We're number 145 on the list as of now. As you can see most most of the recent approvals have NOA1 dates in early April. Still, every now and then there are more recent filers who get approved, so we can always hope. :)

Personally, I've already booked a flight to the Philippines in December so that I can spend Christmas with my wife. I'm not counting on her visa coming through before then. I'll be very pleasantly surprised is it does, though.

There are also several March filers still waiting for NOA 2 also, they are approaching the 5 month mark (August) and USCIS is trying to clean them out before the 5 month mark hits. Cause they will be out of processing times.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Oh no, please don't say that!! I looked at the British IR/CR1 applications, and admittedly they're not many, but their average is 26 days between NOA1 and NOA2. Doesn't it vary from one country to another slightly? On the other hand, from what I can tell, British applications have the longest wait between the NVC sending it to the embassy and the actual interview!

A lot of the British petitions go through direct consular filing (DCF). Those petitions skip USCIS, and are processed by the local consulate or emabasy. Those DCFs may be skewing the averages. In order to qualify for DCF you have to have lived with your spouse in the country where the consulate is located for at least 6 months.

Yeah, that's true, but the ones coming up on the VJ timelines are the 'ordinary' submissions and not DCF. There have been eight to CSC since 1st Jan 2009, and one to VSC. The latter got their NOA2 in 36 days, and the early 2009 applications to CSC had an average of 26, but those filed in June and July are still waiting. The DCF ones actually go through Texas (from what I can see), and the only one that has been approved in 2009 so far went from NOA1 to interview in 43 days - lucky them :)

Hmmmm.... don't know why the short time frame. I know from reading other threads there was a short time early this year when approvals in under 60 days weren't uncommon. If by any chance you should happent to catch any of that "British luck," do be sure to send some of it our way. :D

Will do

To be honest, I think you're more realistic than I, and in fact my husband and I have already made our plans around it not being approved for quite a while yet. Let's hope for everyone's sakes that CSC and VSC pick up again soon :)

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.
