You must be David :)

Yes I'm Diane's much worse half! I'm the stereotypical drunken Scot with bad teeth that Americans learn about in school!

Fried Mars bars and a Glasgow kiss? (Diane do you know what you've let yourself in for lol?)

At least Boston/MA aren't too different from the UK...CA is another world entirely and despite having lived abroad, I've never ever felt so British as the fortnight I spent there!!

My husband just called me and he says that our petition has been approved. And, of course, I am ecstatic as one should be. Here's hoping that there is no ill-will among those who filed before us and have not received any approval to date. We're probably just lucky, I imagine!

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

I'd just want to validate what my wife (Señora Bonita) says at Post # 395. The funny thing is that, up to this minute, our case status at the USCIS site still shows as under Initial Review. We have not received any approval email from CRIS either. But today, I received the Approval Notice, dated September 16, 2009, from USCIS. Our last touch was on September 17th and that was when this approval letter was postmarked. We can't rely on the website for updates no more, so, I recommend that you sort your mail attentively!

To abbie and maritoni - many thanks for congratulating my wife!

hehehe.... I know exactly how you feel, and don't worry, I don't think its an exaggeration to want to scream!! It won't say "touched" there will just be a new "recent activity" date. Doesn't it stink to have people jump ahead of you? I'm at the end of the July filers list, but still I don't like to be jumped by the august people getting approved. I'm willing to wait my turn... but it needs to be first come, first serve.

Thanks. I check it over and over.Still nothing. :crying:

OOh I am sooo jealous ! But I'm happy for you. I checked ours again and we have nothing. It still says last activity 8/6/09, recieved, Initial review. I feel like we are stuck on hold. Our whole life is on hold until we get this visa. I know the next step is a long wait too. I need a hug but he is too far away. It's a lot harder than I thought and I feel like I am losing hope some days. Maybe I'll feel better after I see him.

Oh I'll make sure you feel better! x

Oh you are so bad!
