sorry, I love smileys, I think they make all the difference online!

I like them too. Wow, 3 whole weeks! I left Scotland 3 days after we wed but I went back for a few days last month. he arrives here in less than 2 weeks. I just hope we have covered all the possible POE concerns so he can come on in with no trouble. I think I would go to pieces if they turned him away. :crying:

I know, it's probably the hardest three weeks counting down to his arrival, we both can't wait!! I plan to visit him again at some point, and I think he's even more worried about me being turned away than I am :( We should all take a leaf out of MsSheka's book and try and be more positive :) :)

I wish I knew why ours has not even been touched. I am making myself nutty wondering and worrying why some go through so quick and others wait longer. it seems like a very infair and disorganized system. I hate that we cannot evn check until 5 months pass. At least we have a visit coming up soon! I worry about the POE agent every time one of us travels since they hold so much pwer. He is bringing prrof of job, motgage etc back home and copy of ticket for next trip here with his mum. I hope we move to necxt step soon. Come on NOA 2!!!

other july filers got noa2.. .. barraquillera. NOA2 WILL BE SOON FOR ALL. CSC IS WORKING FASTER THAN WE WERE WAITING.

I hope so. I keep checking every day and it is so hard when I see other people flying through; It feels like we were forgotton.

By the way, I like your new profile picture.

I have a stupid question. Will it say "touched" when I login? Everytime I look I still see last activity is on 8/6 and I want to scream. Ok that's a bit of an exaggeration but it doesnt make me smile.

hehehe.... I know exactly how you feel, and don't worry, I don't think its an exaggeration to want to scream!! It won't say "touched" there will just be a new "recent activity" date. Doesn't it stink to have people jump ahead of you? I'm at the end of the July filers list, but still I don't like to be jumped by the august people getting approved. I'm willing to wait my turn... but it needs to be first come, first serve.

Congratulations And Sam!!!

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

If you only know what i've been through you wouldn't say that dear....we also have had a failed petiton previously...but i waited patiently.... i believe yours will come next..God bless...

No, I don't know what you've been through, and vice versa, but this isn't a contest of who has the most difficult circumstances...it's just frustration and a polite request for a little consideration for those still waiting...

I am still luckier than most, as I have only been waiting two months and not nearly five like others, and I'm also able to visit (theoretically) on the VWP, but as a citizen of a low-risk country with (what seems to me) an airtight relationship, I find it hard to understand why others who filed several weeks after me and from higher-risk countries are being approved so quickly, even though I'm very happy for them of course.

Exactly! Britain and America are supposed to have a special relationship. The first thing I see when I get off the plane in Boston is a poster with the US and UK flags and "Working Together" written under it. So why are we waiting for so long when people from countries that are sworn enemies of the USA are getting approved in some cases less than a month? I don't get it. And from what I read on here it looks like the time waiting for an interview in London is longer than just about any other country. I just want to stop living my life in limbo and start my life with my wife in my new home. I am going for a short visit in a few days and I have the usual worry that they will turn me away at the POE. The disadvantage of the VWP is that we have no right of appeal and if they tell you to go home you go home. Being British seems to be a disadvantage these days!

Our whole life is on hold until we get this visa. I know the next step is a long wait too. I need a hug but he is too far away. It's a lot harder than I thought and I feel like I am losing hope some days. Maybe I'll feel better after I see him.

Oh I'll make sure you feel better! x

Hehe me too!!! the only reason I only just checked for the first time today is because my husband lives in California, so I live on his time and he lives on mine...and I know there's no point checking until 9:30ish...and hey presto, a touch...it's not an approval but it's something!!

I'm so happy when I see others getting their approvals, and of course some cases are slightly more complicated than others, but seriously, what happened to 'process them in the order that we receive them'?????? how on earth can people who filed in September already be approved in a record time of 17 days (gosh, you jammy so-and-so, what wouldn't we all give eh? :) ) when there are so many people from March, April, May, June and July still be waiting? If we got a touch, I hope you get one too very soon :D

I have a stupid question. Will it say "touched" when I login? Everytime I look I still see last activity is on 8/6 and I want to scream. Ok that's a bit of an exaggeration but it doesnt make me smile.

No, the date simply changes...I was so used to seeing 07/22/09 (sorry, that still doesn't look right to me lol) that I did a doubletake when I saw 09/23/09 :)

Yeah did nobody tell the Americans you put the day before the month!

Yeah, if I remember correctly the London embassy has the longest waiting time for interviews especially as they have more dates for K1 applicants (mind you I don't understand why the Brits favour the K1 over the CR1, you and I are in the minority lol). Everything about our application would suggest that it'd be approved quickly, so, again, as happy as I am for others, I find it frustrating when fellow applicants who are from certain countries, especially males who supposedly have an even harder time, are being approved so quickly when they've applied after me. Or perhaps it's the Brit in me with my fondness for queues :P My husband's visiting in a few weeks, but after that he'll have used up all his holiday, so if we want to spend time together I just have to risk an 11 hour flight and hope that the POE officer is a romantic/in a good mood/doesn't object to my accent...

Can we not go back to the good old days. We just get off the boat at Ellis Island. Get some papers and given an acre of land and become Americans! Right that's Eastenders and Corrie finished (God I'll miss them) I'm off to bed to dream of green cards and a furniture stores with I-max and a trapeze school and liquid fireworks in it. Oh and ICE-CREAM!!! Only in America!
