Clearly he knows he will not get elected, but I am sure his busking earnings will rise.

He's not completely naked though, right? He wears underpants?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Yes, he does. He actually said last night that he would let his constituents squeeze his butt for a buck.

A New York busker who calls himself The Naked Cowboy has launched an ambitious bid to run for mayor.

"No one knows how to do more with less than yours truly," said Robert Burck, who entertains tourists around Times Square.

"And that's the kind of thinking I plan on sharing with my fellow New Yorkers when you elect me."

The long-haired, tattooed Burck said he plans to make an official announcement at his regular haunt, reports Sky News.

Dressed in nothing more than a cowboy hat, boots, and a pair of white underpants emblazoned with the words Naked Cowboy, Burck earns about $1,000 (£600) a day busking.

He aims to run against Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a billionaire and Wall Street whiz hoping for a third four-year term.

Mr Bloomberg has already spent millions of dollars on his campaign, including on a blizzard of television commercials.

His only real challenger, the little-known city figure William Thompson, has so far struggled to be heard.

Quick - I have to move to Manhattan from Westchester to give him a fair chance.

I wouldn't quite call him a snowball in hell, but Hell's Kitchen is near his stomping grounds.
