I never said that the engineering field is illogical.

I said that *YOU* would make a bad engineer because *YOU* appear to lack a process of reasoning that employs logic. I say that because you appear to believe that assuming a person's behaviour, based on your own preconceived ideas is legitimate.

There's not much more to it than that - and I would say its very difficult to misunderstand. Of course... you will try and succeed. Again.

Asking questions is an integral part of engineering. Just because we cant solve the question with information at hand does not mean the question is not valid. After all, actions speak louder than words. Even though we don't know enough about the professor to discredit or prove the question, you seem to have made up your mind that the question is dumb.

Yes.... because noone (not one person, not a one) can answer it definitively and without bias, not even the professor himself.

I definitely believe that the officer arrested him out of spite. The logical thing to do at that point where the ID was shown would have been to disperse. I also think the "lets go outside" comment was because the cop knew that in his own home, Gates wasn't doing anything wrong. Only when outside does the yelling and shouting become an issue.

Also, unless the town has a "stop and identify" clause (because the state doesn't) Gates does not have to ID himself. I think if I had been in that situation I would have been alittle angry as well and I'm white.

In that situation, once the ID was shown and Crowley walked through that front door, I would have shut it and gone to bed.

Also, I would say that Crowley is a failure at race relations if he can't understand the simple concept of leaving once the ID was shown when you have an irate individual.

What's amazing is that in 9.99 out of 10 times those that support you are the same people that support everything else you post, in every other thread. You obviously don't view this as a bias but take it as if everyone is agreeing with you and disagreeing with me. I can bring up at least 5 other posters you have the same stance with.

Most of us have a life and don't camp out in these forums. We also don't follow our buds around to agree with them 24/7. We also don't create commies for Christ threads not only insulting 2 billion people's beliefs but moreover form a support group to support one another. Don't need that myself. Each to their own.

Its not a crime to agree with people or have them agree with you on specific issues.

Though I suppose this is where your accusations about being horribly chastised come in - and that if it weren't for some sort of organized group that insists on tearing you down and ridiculing you, that more people would agree with your opinion.
