time to make the doughnuts...one more day until the weekend. it rained cats and dogs last night!

so yesterday, as i was drinking my nice cold lemonade, i saw something in my glass that didn't belong in it, i thought it was a huge beetle and took a closer look and it was a pit of some sort of fruit (YUCK!!) thanks to my son who collects these things and puts them in the freezer, it must have slipped down into the icemaker and came out in my drink..ewwwwww

Maureen, that totally made me laugh. :lol: What does your son keep the pits for? Does he do something with them or just wants a nice collection of them? lol

Supposed to 100 here for the next million or so years. lol

Too hot and humid to go traipsing around trying to furnish our apartment, but we have to do it anyways. And, yay that we have an apartment to furnish, so I'll stop whining. :D

Good morning.

I was not aware it rained last night and I left windows open.

Im going down to do major battle with the insurance company today. Say a prayer for me, eh? I had to cancel my surgical procedure which was supposed to be for this afternoon as a result of these tards.

Wishing everyone a pleasant day that is trouble and worry free!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Good Morning Peeps.

They have been calling for rain since Tues. We have just had humidity and clouds, very scarce sun.

I guess that is ok cuz it keeps the heat down. So far it hasn't been a bad summer for us in these parts.

I like the heat but i can't imagine having it the way some of you do.

good mornin mena! Day 2 of full on hijab... Feels great to not have the constant "i don't have to wear it coz ..(put any justifications here)...so i'm just fine without hijab" controversy goin on in my head. Still feels awkward coz I'm so afraid of what my customers will say or think... but it's not about pleasing anybody...it's for my religion and that alone. I have to keep reminding myself of this coz it's really hard to not take it off. Please say some prayers for me that I can remain strong coz this is something I really want to keep up with ensha'allah.

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(
