I am trying to get more info about this new program at NVC where they send files to GuangZhou electronically.

I heard for K-1 visas, it's all being done electronically. Is it true? Are they any recent GuangZhou petitioners or finance(e)s here? I am very curious about this and hope they are indeed doing things electronically to speed the process up!

Thanks!

Um, well, I am currently in the process of a K-1 visa for my fiance, who lives in Guilin, China, and we received our NOA 2 on July 7, and no one has mentioned anything about electronic transfers. Our attorney said that our files are being sent to Guangzhou and may take 2-3 months just going through customs. So, I assume this is snail mail transfer.

Snail-Mail Pen-Pals for 7 years... met in person in May 2008. Engaged in August 2008. Took some time deciding what to do, where to marry, etc... Applied for K-1 in January via attorney in CA.

Over at candleforlove site, someone said electronic process for K-1 was automatic. I don't know how to check if the case is received by GuangZhou, but I imagine you can give them a call to find out. Have you called NVC to find out if they indeed received your case and has sent it out? Their phone number is 603-334-0700. Could you update your timeline for the benefits of others like me? You can do it via the "My assistant" link on the top of the home page.

Thanks!
