expedia.com at least for us honors their quoted price, none of that extra tax ####### others have pulled. But it's a toss up, if their price is the same as the actual airline, will buy directly from the airline. In our last flight with Air Canada, Air wanted something like 800 bucks more for the same exact flight as expedia, so we went with expedia.

First you get an e-mail, then have to wait a day or so for confirmation of your flight, we print out both, says to bring this with you, at the airline desk, they just ask for our photo ID, for international, passport is best. Then you hope your flight is in their computer, so far okay. You can pay extra for a refundable ticket, have to read all that damned small print.

Regarding rates, it's a game, but you can bet they are trying to get the most bucks out of you. I am old fashion in the sense where I liked it better when the airlines would FedEx my tickets, but to my knowledge, they don't do that anymore. The two big changes I have seen even over the last ten years is the way they try to save money, tickets are on-line and you only get a 1/2 ounce of peanuts now. But most recently, they are playing around now with your bagage, need a tape measure and a scale or you will get robbed when you check in. Dropped our daughter off, she was a pound over on her luggage, wanted an extra 75 bucks for that, we removed that pound, but still questioned the accuracy of their scales. Swore we were five pounds under.

Can't beleive the latest rates especially when the price of jet fuel dropped in half. Heard on the news that SouthWest is doing good by offereing discounted fairs, where the others are turning customers away with super high prices. Anyone knows in business, better to earn 10% of something than 0% of nothing, but gather the executives haven't learned that yet.
