Child at interview

Can someone tell me if the my wife's child has to be at the interview? The child is being petitioned as well as her mother. I am at the stage of paying for the Visa fees. I know it's a little ways off, but I am trying to get a idea for money. My wife lives down in the Visayas in the philippines and this could get costly with going back and forth for two people to Manila. Especially since they both have to go get a medical exam first. So two plane tickets times 4 could run into some money for me.

thanks,

martinbr

If you can't afford plane trips, SLEC fees and accomodations which aren't much. How can you support them when they get to the US?

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

This isn't what I asked. I didn't ask for a judgement on my financial status. I asked a question about the child being at the interview. Why is there some person in these forums that has to respond with some kind of negative garble to make a point everytime I have a ligitimate question?

It may not be much but if you can save time and/or money why not?!?

I think the IO would be in a better position to ask if he can support them or not.
