In what cover letter will I inlcude the check worth $1010?

Hello Guys,

Im just confused as to where to include the check worth $1010 in my cover letter because AOS/EAD/AP will be processed in different offices? What I did now is I put it in the overall cover letter but what about in AOS/EAD/AP cover letters? Do i need to include it there again?

You don't have to have a separate cover letter for each application plus an overall cover letter. One letter (if you choose to send one) would be adequate to cover everything.

No cover letter is needed at all, strictly, the adjudicators are intelligent folks who know what they're looking at and what to expect in the package. If anything, the cover sheet should be nothing more than a run down list of all the documents that you've included for the convenience of the adjudicator but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if cover letters were removed or put to the back of the file by mailroom staff before the adjudicator ever sees the file because they don't contribute anything of importance to the case...

As others said, attach the $1010 check to the front of the I-485 (with a paper clip, don't staple anything).

[edit to add] That the cover sheet isn't necessary is just my 2¢ - others swear by the importance of including one...

One cover letter is adequate enough but attach the check to the i-485... All the best!
