I think a society is there to look out for it's citizens. Regardless of age, education or what the person has contributed to society.

Society is a figment of your imagination.

That's true. We're all in the matrix. :help:

I see no one agrees with the vampire solution...

I read your vampire solution and interpret that as saying the only win-win solution here is a fantasy.

Even if Sim Jim dies, his ghost will be floating around the house until someone clicks the "resurrect" button.

Or until they use him as mulch.

He should die. He is poor and didn't go to school. His fault.

You don't have the value system I thought you would.

#######??? I was giving sarcasm a try. Damnit....

I really thought you were serious and I am usually quite good in Len sarcasm!

Phew!

God no. I believe health care is a right, not a privilege. I should keep my day job, since standup comedy is obviously not my strong suit

So some stranger's kid will end up in a state college instead of a better private college so Jim may live?

How do you justify that?

Jim can pay for the kid's dorm room.

I would tell Jim to call Select Quote. Because obviously... we don't want to burden rich people to help out and we don't want to get him killed either.

No one said anything about 'rich' people. Just 'other' people.

Ah... touché.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I don't have to. If the stranger's kid was an A+ student he would get scholarship offers. If not, maybe he just shouldn't go to university :hehe:

now stfu, I am grieving over my misunderstood sarcasm.

How about he does what thousands of other people do to get around and cheat the income requirements of medicaid and cut his hours back so he meets such criteria.

Oh no! I've been around the system too long and know all of their tricks! ahhhhh

btw: If he is ill and cant work, go on disablity..equals instant medicaid coverage.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Jim can pay for the kid's dorm room.

But he will be in a crowded auditorium taking 101 classes with 200 other kids, instead of in a smaller more private setting with a higher degree of one-on-one attention.

And all so Jim, who they don't even know, may live?

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.
