Good news!!!

Well I called the NVC and spoke to an operator at 6pm Friday evening to ask if my my case has been sent to Montreal yet. The operator told me that my case was still at the NVC and that I should call back next week. For some reason I decided to call again around 8:30 pm same day and the automated message still had the message about my case being completed etc... Anyways I decided to call again at 12:00 am Saturday morning and guess what? The message now says that my case was sent to Montreal on July 7th. :dance::dance::dance: So I guess I call the NVC on Monday to find out my interview date! :)

I called and talked to an operator last week also and they said the same thing, call back next week to see if we had been forwarded to Montreal yet. After reading your post late last night I decided to try our luck and called and the automated line said we had been forwarded on July 7th also!!! :dance: Thanks for posting Mermaid, otherwise I would of probably waited until next week. The best thing of all was that my hubby was here visiting so I got to share the good news with him in person (L) I can hardly wait until Monday to hopefully find out our interview date! Congrats Mermaid and Cygnet and best wishes. We're almost there!!! :dance:

congrats to all

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I called by chance today and although the message was same old 'case was completed on....' when I phoned Friday, today I got 'your case as been forwarded to Montreal'.

Man - I cannot believe it. This means an August date for sure doesn't it???
