Ohhhkaaay.

I don't think it's a miracle. Maybe that's because I'm not religious?

I also don't believe in soul mates..I'm much more practical than that. You seem very, very idealist.

What does a miracle have to do with religion? "An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature and so is held to be supernatural (Of relating to existence outside the natural world) in origin".

Was not only skeptical but critical of soulmates, until I met mine, hope a miracle occurs in your life and you meet yours.

He was studying here as an international student and my brothers best friend...I always had a crush on him and never said anything and one day he got my phone number from my brother, he apparently felt the same and we have been together ever since

I was trying to fight some arakkoa in Shadowmoon Valley, with no sucess, then this pink elf friend of mine came on the back of a griffon and saved me. Since then the elf would always come and help me, and we grew curious about each other. We started talking more and more each day, until we fell in love and finally met personally as two human beigns on the real world. (yeah, we met while playing world of warcraft).

Similar story- only EverQuest 2, not WoW. I was in Greater Faydark leveling an alt and he answered a group member's plea for help in guild chat. We then grouped together on our mains and got to know each other over the game and then via emails and phone calls. We met in person 1.5 years later and it was love at first sight!

Yay, another excuse to talk about my relationship

I met mine at work. He was a chef and I was a waitress. Normally that would make us natural enemies, but we got along for some reason.

We went drinking a few times as a group with others, I made him meet my mother, asked for 'help' moving my manual transmission car to my new apartment (I don't drive manual that well) planning to get him drunk on moderately priced wine, plan backfires when I get smashed, and the rest is history. He ended up just kind of not going home until he went back to Japan to wait for his visa.

We met at a DVD shop. He was new to China. I had been there two years. I had just returned from a summer in Paris brushing up on my French because I was teaching a class of it at school, so when I heard this Black man trying to explain to the DVD shop owner that he had been there a month earlier and seen some DVDs in French and now he had a DVD player and wanted to buy them, my ears perked up.

His Sri Lankan friend asked if I spoke Chinese. I said, "No, but I speak French." So my, now, husband and I exchanged numbers. It was just going to be me introducing a new expat to the city and practicing my French, maybe even getting him to come speak to my kids.

At that time, he wore this sort of hat no American ever wears, and somehow it made him look older than he is. I though he was older than I was. By the time I found out he was a lot younger than I was, it was too late. I guess that's a good thing because I would NEVER have dated him if I had known his age. I have a hang up (still) about dating younger men and I'll admit to judging others in the past who do. Karma, I guess.

We met online through a friend's site called Tickle.com, which is no longer around. (Haha Myspace and Facebook took over). Tickle was a friends site but also had a matchmaking component to it and we were 99% compatible according to Tickle...lol. I was studying in the U.S. at the time, both lived in the same city, we talked online for about 4 months before we finally met in person, it was "love at first sight" Ok sounds really corny and I thought I didn't believe in that stuff and I wouldn't admit it right away, but it was.

Wow I can't believe it was almost 5 years ago since we first met, feels like just yesterday. (L)

We met online, in a quiz chat room, a place for crazy people who answer all kinds of tricky long questions in 1-2 seconds. He held the first place among all the players, and I just happened to be the one who typed the answers faster than him

I love reading how other couples have met - each one is completely different from the next. Our story is we met online in the virtual world of Second Life on April 5 2008 at a jazz club called Bogart's. We quickly became best friends over the next few weeks and soon we were "married" ingame on April 27. It was all romantic with my avatar wearing the full kilt thing and Bren wearing a beautiful white dress. I will always remember that day we exchanged our "vows" - some outsider was staring at us the whole time but we didn't care if the whole world could see us! We had a blast while we played over the next few months while we chatted through skype. Our first "date" we went horse riding through virtual Arizona and stopped off for some country dancing. But we realised we wanted the real thing and so I went over to the real Arizona in June 2008. We soon stopped going into Second Life but we both still have fond memories of what brought us together.
