Still saying meeting your soulmate is a miracle no matter how it happens. One thing I know for sure, you can't make it happen nor can you plan it. It either happens or not and that is the miracle part of it if it does happen.

Can anyone searching for their soulmate learn anything from this thread as how others have met? Let me think about my own life, bars, beaches, cruises, work, church socials, weddings, family get togethers with friends, singles clubs, matchmakers, had plenty of those in my life, blind dates, helps to be blind, those internet match sites, what's that one where you have to answer over 500 questions to find your mate, forgot that already, mail order brides, malls, airports, walking down the street, parks, ball games, cycling, golfing, various snowmobile, ATV clubs, flying, boating, travel, etc., sure I am missing some here. But all zero. It was by pure chance I met my wife, an accident, not only was she my soulmate, I was her soulmate. I didn't have any specifications in mind, race, nor culture was not an issue with either of us, we both knew the moment we met, we wanted to learn everything about each other. I and she were even loosing dating others at the time, we soon broke that off, like in a couple of weeks to concenstrate on each other.

It's a miracle, no other word that fits.

Ohhhkaaay.

I don't think it's a miracle. Maybe that's because I'm not religious?

I also don't believe in soul mates..I'm much more practical than that. You seem very, very idealist.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I met this American guy online and I started talking to him cause I wanted to practice my English (I was going to go to the US in a few months). One day I was chatting with him with the webcam on, and Richard (my fiance) was walking by this guy's room and he saw me on the webcam. We started talking from that day on, everyday. I moved to the States, and he went to visit me in California (he lived in NY). And here we are today applying for a fiance visa. :) It's been 2 and a half years.

We met in Sweden at a conference in 2002.

Going to Sweden for business is a dangerous thing. You never know what you might get to bring with you home. My husband and I met in Sweden (different part from where I lived) at a training class for our company in 2004. We were both last minute attendants to the class. For a week we were competing on who could type the fastest on our computers. I won and first prize was a husband. :P
