Our interview is TODAY! in fact its happening right now as i type this! my stomach is so nervous, i could call "uncle earl" if you know what i mean. im worried because she went to her medical appointment and they told her to come back yesterday [ the day b4 her interview, mind you ] to get her results. well, she called and of course they didnt have it ready. She explained to them beforehand [ when she went to the exam ] that her interview was today and they assured her she would have the results. Now they say they will courier them to the embassy in time for the appointment. my concern is will the embassy deny the visa if the medical exam results are not there? anyone out there know? if so, that doctor's office is getting a phone call from the USA pronto!!!

to top things off, since they wont let her take a cel phone in the embassy, i will have to wait til much later after the interview to find out whats going. so i can do nothing but wait in suspense. i want this to be over so bad!

I can appreciate how you feel!! I sure didn't like that interview stage myself, especially when it looked liked the consular was in a bad mood, and disapproving everyone. ( Judging by the looks on the other two women before me, but I didn't know the details or anything) However, because I was so prepared, (thanks to VJ), it all went as smooth as silk.

Just take a deep breath, and relax. I'm sure everything will work out for both of you. If the consulate there is like the one I was in, my visa was approved pending the medical. ( I had my exam the day after the interview) So once they got the results, (same afternoon as exam) the consular's assistant took them, said no problems, I'm healthy, ( I knew that already) and my visa was mailed to me in two days.

Best wishes to both of you!! ^_^

Thanks for all the congrats/best wishes/and remedies for upset stomach :D ok , finally heard from her. this is what happened. the interview went okay, but we dont have the visa YET. they had her sign and swear but they told her she needed to come back with further documentation and bring it on a tues or fri morning. They want;

1. my 2008 tax return. when i filed in Jan 09 i did not yet have the 2008 return as i hadnt filed it yet. and it slipped my mind to include it with the stuff i sent her. i thought the past 3 years that i sent was enough ...So... im sending 2008 asap.

2. they want phone records proof from the last 6 months. now we have a problem. my phone is prepaid cel and i use calling cards to call her [ to save money ] so i dont have phone records, getting them will cost $50 per month [ $300 for 6 mos ] and it will take 7 days to get them AND the records wont even show her number, only the 1-800 number i call on the card b4 i punch in her number. its useless to get the records.

i called the embassy already and told them about the phone records. i plan to send the tax forms, a letter explaining about the phone records and have my fiancee present them with other proof of relationship , that they didnt ask to see during the interview [ photos, emails, used phone cards, greeting cards, airline tickets, hotel bills ] and pray. if i fed ex it today , she will have it by Thursday and can take it in on Friday

anyone else have experience with this?

looks like i have at least a few more days of roller coaster tummy.

Do you use the same phone cards all the time? I used one (and we still do to call friends and relatives) that gives a complete and detailed report online. Check your phone cards for a website which may have this information.

okay, not happy right now. she went for the interview...they asked for more proof of relationship and my 2008 tax return.[ i had filed the k-1 in Jan b4 i did my 2008 taxes ]proof was okay but my taxes sucked. i was out of work awhile last year and my taxes reflect that. alot of people were hit hard last year job-wise. but my situation is solid now, has been since the year began. but the consulate now says i have to file a I-864/ joint sponsor before they will approve the visa. i found someone but it pisses me off- they keep finding something to keep from approving it. and last year's situation is not the same as this year. hell, i have 4 jobs now! anyone have experience with this? once i give them this , will there be something else they will ask for? both of us are getting very frustrated with this and looking at other options if it comes to that.

just be very dilligent in filing their requests. you should not have missed out 2008 taxes, or atleast, should have put a written statement saying why you don't have 2008 taxes.

re: phone records - again, you know they want proof of relationship. everyone uses phone cards. i use phonecards. so i went to my carriers website, printed off the bills, and highlighted the US # i call to make the phone to her - i also showed the text message that we sent back and forth. and its okay to make a direct call every now and then.

you have 4 jobs? Great - get a letter from all 4 bosses saying "this letter is for employment verification for mr. xyz, he has been working here for x # of months does work of a Y person and gets paid ZZ amount of money, etc. '

write a 2nd letter of intent and be sincere.

write a 2nd letter of intent and be sincere.

i did include a letter about the taxes and an explanation about the phone records. my carrier doesnt have a website to print off records [ maybe why my bill is so low ] and if i want the records i have to buy them [#######!] and they would only show the 1-800 number i dial, not her number. its useless to get those.

i think its useless to write letters of intent [ i have written them b4, they are always sincere, and i will continue to write them ] BECAUSE my fiancee told me the consulate officer doesnt even look at them. She's been in there twice now with letters and other paperwork and they dont even look at the letters i write.

TO TOP IT OFF, my fiancee says if she doesnt get the visa the next time she goes in, she wants to give up- i've just been kicked in the chest! :crying: those words would never have left my lips. I would just keep trying to find a way no matter how long it took or what i would have to do. Makes me wonder if we feel the same. Her feeling that way has drained the hope i had. Going to send in the joint sponsor stuff they want but if they give us more #######, i guess i wont have a reason to come back on here. :( Good luck to everybody out there trying to get theirs.
